Our 20+ GW offshore wind development portfolio is one of the largest in the world, spanning established and emerging markets, as well as floating and traditional fixed-bottom technologies. These next generation offshore wind projects will help form the backbone of the net-zero global energy system while meeting the energy needs of communities and corporate offtakers sustainably, reliably, safely and responsibly.

Based in Hanoi, you shall lead the local team and be ultimately accountable for the development and management of all aspects of Corio’s Vietnam projects, ongoing business development, maintaining key relationships with partners and stakeholders, and for Corio’s market positioning and profile.

This role will require you to manage and liaise with internal and external stakeholders, partners, Corio and partner senior management as well as the local team to ensure the success of Corio’s projects and business in Vietnam.

**Responsibilities**

You will be ultimately responsible to delivery the following scope, in combination with the local Corio team and global Corio specialists. You will be responsible to manage the team and delegate tasks or to personally perform certain tasks where appropriate.
- Policy & regulatory: Meet and engage in regular discussions with MOIT, MONRE, and any other relevant governmental body at the state level or at the Central government level; multi-lateral funding agencies like the World Bank group including the IFC et al, with the key objective of pro-actively working on policy advocacy for a successful long term offshore wind opportunity for Corio Generation in Vietnam.
- Supply chain: Meet and engage in discussions with potential project supply chain partners that meet Corio’s standards in terms of Workplace Health, Safety & Environment and Anti-Bribery & Corruption requirements with an objective to generate and maintain a strong network of industry relationships.
- Project partnership: Regularly engage with and maintain good relationships with existing project partners including facilitating relationships with the partner’s senior stakeholders. Identify appropriate future project partners and engage in discussions with them for future pipeline projects not covered by existing partnerships.
- Brand building: Represent Corio in at various industry forums in Vietnam where appropriate with the key objective of promoting and building the Corio brand.
- WHSES and ABC: Work with internal functional leads in preparing and implementing fit for purpose Vietnam policies and appropriate governance framework.
- Technical studies: Working with relevant Corio teams to review and evaluate the existing studies made available by the Government of Vietnam; make recommendations regarding the appointment of appropriate technical service providers for technical due diligence including proprietary technical studies; work with the internal teams in reviewing and evaluating third party due diligence reports.
- Financing partners: Engage in discussions with local and international banks and other financial institutions
- Project planning: Working with cross-functional teams in developing detailed project planning for activities and work-streams both pre-bid and post procuring a project.
- IC/Board approval: Prepare and present Corio’s internal committee (“IC”) approval notes and participate in those and other related discussions, leading to formal IC approval for Corio’s participation in any upcoming tenders and/or its Vietnam business plan.
