The role & key responsibilities

Student volumes for RMIT Vietnam are growing remarkably and so, the overall workforce must grow accordingly. We are undergoing a project, namely Project Tre, to review and ensure RMIT Vietnam has the right workforce to maintain high standards of quality, whilst building a strong value proposition to its growing number of staff. Part of this project is to re-design, implement and review total rewards (monetary & non-monetary) that RMIT Vietnam offers to its staff.

The Reward Manager will be part of the Compensation, Benefits and HR Services team, playing a key role in the design and implementation of newly defined compensation structure and benefit model with ongoing periodic reviews to maintain competitiveness in order to attract and retain staff.

The range of duties includes but is not limited to the following key delivery areas.- Scenario modelling and impact analysis, for purposes of budgeting, impact analysis and choice of methodology for distribution of adjustments- Documentation of revised policies and administration procedures- Provision of training/briefing on newly defined compensation and benefit schemes to HR team and our stakeholders, as and where relevant- Others in reward area, as and when required.

The position holder will be expected to work collaboratively and proactively with other HR staff to deliver a high
- quality stakeholder experience.

Key accountabilities- Work with the Senior Manager and external consultant (if any) to support the design and delivery of all cash and non-cash reward and recognition programs of RMIT Vietnam, including salary management, bonus scheme, benefit and employee recognitions.- Project management - develop a detailed plan to monitor and track the progress of the project; ensure all tasks are delivered on time; coordinate with internal and external parties for the flawless execution of the project; report and escalate to the Senior Manager as and when needed.- Be responsible for scenario modelling and impact analysis for purposes of budgeting, impact analysis and choice of methodology for distribution of adjustments. Determine individual allocation of additional benefits- Follow through to ensure the changes are finalized and approved properly- Document revised policies and administration procedures- Develop template wording to formalize changes via legal documents such as labour contracts and decisions- Develop key measurement metrics and ongoing monitor ROI- Establish links between career architecture and reward plus other formal talent programs at conceptual level Maintain and develop benefits information on the intranet, ensuring it is updated as necessary, and improving the availability of information where appropriate- Coordinate with the Manager, Payroll and Tax Compliance to ensure newly created pay elements are configured on systems properly in accordance with the prevailing applicable laws and the University’s policies- Deal with line managers and HRBPs, ensuring they have access to relevant employee information and answer their questions about the process and policy- Respond to questions from HR colleagues and other staff members on benefit policy and administration- Provide training/briefing on newly defined compensation and benefit schemes to HR team and our stakeholders, as and where relevant- Others in the in-charge areas as assigned by the Senior Manager from time to time.

Key selection criteria- Bachelor degree in Accounting, Auditing, Tax, Business, Commerce, or Human Resources Management. Post-graduate qualification in any relevant discipline is preferred.- At least seven (7) years’ experience in a similar position in a large multinational organization or handling a client portfolio with more than 500 headcounts (in accumulation). Prior working experience for an international HR consulting firm is an advantage- Experience of reward and HR processes- Experience of salary and benefit benchmarking processes and analysis- Experience of data handling, interpretation and input- Demonstrated experience in producing accurate data analysis and reports for internal/external stakeholders- Knowledge and experience of using a range of reporting tools effectively to provide useful information- Demonstrated experience in working with and managing clients across a diverse range of functions- Track records of handling various projects at the same time, working as a project manager or a strong single contributor- Strong knowledge of employment and tax laws and a keen understanding of their practical implementation in the
