A Patient Affordability or Access Program (PAP) is led by the Commercial team and provides customized solutions for populations with access challenges and or increases HCP experience to improve patient care. All programs require local and global review and approval.

The Patient Solutions Program Manager for AstraZeneca Vietnam's Oncology Business Unit is responsible for developing and implementing strategies to support patient access to AstraZeneca oncology products. Reporting to the Associate Marketing Director of the Oncology Business Unit, the program manager will lead the patient affordability/access program (PAP) and ensure the successful management of the patient access support program. The role involves collaboration with internal and external stakeholders, project & vendor management, compliance oversight and program reporting.

**Typical Accountabilities**

**Develop and Implement Patient Access Support Strategy**:

- Formulate and execute a comprehensive patient access support program strategy, including the development and management of a patient affordability/access program (PAP)
- Ensure the PAP aligns with AstraZeneca's brand strategy and complies with relevant regulations and guidelines.
- Coordinate with the Market Access Team to integrate multiple vendors, ensuring alignment with the key program vendors and establishing appropriate firewalls and controls.

**Project Management, Vendor Management and Budget Oversight**:

- Define, manage, and prioritize project scope, ensuring the development and execution of project plans.
- Define measures of program success and provide thorough analysis on a monthly and quarterly basis to cross-functional teams and AZ leadership.
- Monitor program performance, address issues proactively, and ensure adherence to program goals and objectives.
- Oversee the program budget, ensuring adherence to financial guidelines.
- Manage vendor relationships and collaborate with vendors to ensure the successful execution of program activities.
- Strategically manage and oversee key vendor contracts.

**Stakeholder Engagement and Collaboration**:

- Liaise with internal stakeholders, including Medical, Legal, Compliance, Finance, Corporate Affairs, Purchasing, Commercial Operations, etc. to ensure program compliance and success.
- Collaborate with Market Access to engage with key external stakeholders to identify and implement strategic partnering opportunities.

**Program Documentation and Compliance**:

- Work with internal legal and compliance resources to develop program Business Rules and Client Work Instructions in line with AstraZeneca policies.
- Conduct training sessions for PAP Coordinators to reinforce PAP policies and ensure a comprehensive understanding of program operations.
- Work with vendors to consolidate & analyse monthly reports and update progress to internal stakeholders
- Conduct quarterly audits with vendors to ensure internal compliance standards

**Education, Qualifications, Skills and Experience**

**Essential**
- Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacology, Medical, Business, Business Administration, Marketing or other relevant discipline
- Previous experience in project management, patient assistance/affordability/access program, or similar roles within the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry

**Desirable**
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to evaluate program success and provide meaningful insights.
- Demonstrated ability to manage vendor relationships and contracts.
- Fluency in English and Vietnamese languages.
