Report directly to the Business Director, this role will be based in HCMC and be responsible for developing the company's business in Vietnam

Responsibilities:

To lead and deliver target business growth for Vietnam, managing all of the business functions. Responsible for executing detailed business plans, driving the business to deliver annual performance targets with an emphasis on development of market share and sales within the context of the annual budget and medium to long term objectives

Strategic:

  • Steer the development of short and longterm tactical business plans and lead the team toward fulfilment of planned objectives to ensure sustainable successes
  • Identification, evaluation, and management of new business opportunities
  • Prepare and execute business plan and key account plans to meet sales targets on quarterly basis.
  • Prepare and submit sales reports and sales forecasts.
  • Ensure business objectives are well communicated, committed and delivered.
  • Develop and implement business strategies to achieve financial plan, profit margin and projected goals.

Sales & Marketing:

  • Identify key decision makers and influencers and develop and leverage relationships to support the introduction of Merit products.
  • Establish, develop, and foster relationships with all key customers within the territory to increase our market share.
  • Build and leverage customer relationships with current and potential customers to achieve sales targets.
  • Lead the preparation of relationship management plans for key accounts /customers.
  • Develop and update key account profiles.
  • Establish and sustain relationships with Key Opinion Leaders, Industry bodies, customers, and relevant government departments and officials.
  • Manage and implement new product launches to ensure growth.
  • Support, participate in and attend key meetings, education, conferences, trade shows and training opportunities to increase awareness of Merit products.
  • Manage the product portfolio to optimize business opportunities in each market.
  • Monitor the business and market trends and seek new opportunities.
  • Collaborate with regional marketing team to ensure smooth implementation of strategic marketing plan and promotional objectives.

Channel Management:

  • Identification of suitable business partners to meet business objectives
  • Organize training and provide market insight to the distributors
  • Develop strong relationships with new/existing partners and motivate them to develop new business opportunities.
  • Manage, direct, monitor and assess current business partners to ensure a cohesive and effective distribution channel established and upgraded
  • Ensure distributors comply with company direction sand policy

People:

  • Coach, develop and manage a team of managers and individual contributors, balancing the development objectives of the team with the needs of the organization
  • Design and develop organization strategy to meet high growth expectations

Regulatory:

  • Assist to collect relevant information / advice for eth enquiry on local product rules and regulation
  • Ensure compliance with all local regulatory, government and company requirements and standards.
  • Report any adverse events and key risk anticipated.

Experience requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in science, Biomedical or Life Science
  • Minimum of 10 years in a successful medical device sales role, experience in selling interventional cardiology & radiology or related products will be preferred.
  • Professional, confident, and resilient personality with the ability to build and maintain effective business relationship.
  • Good technical knowledge combined with commercial mindset.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a crossfunctional and teamoriented environment.
  • Frequently travel within assigned region
  • Unquestionable integrity, business ethics and values
  • Strong analytical, problem solving and decisionmaking skills.
  • Resultdriven and able to reach aggressive goals with limited guidance.
  • Proven skills in leadership, strategic planning, financial management and profit & loss management
  • Experiences in building direct sales team and in dealer management.

Education requirements:

  • Degree Holder in Science, Life Science, Biochemistry or related discipline
  • Excellent communication skill in English
