As an internationally recognised Australian university based in Asia, RMIT Vietnam is assisting in the development of human resources capability in Vietnam and the region.- YOUR ROLE- Develop and manage programs which encourage a positive and strong student leadership environment for students engaged in activities of Student Life and around the University. This role has a particular focus on designing and implementing purposeful leadership initiatives and promoting community leadership with impact-driven focus. This role also requires to provide leadership training/workshops supporting the Club Executives, Student Volunteers and Student leaders to ensure impactful outcomes for both the students and the University.- KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES-
- Develop leadership programs, initiatives and opportunities for students in both Hanoi & Saigon South campus, including the LEAD program, Emerging Leaders Project to maximise personal growth and employability outcomes.
- Be the primary liaison between RMIT Student Life and the Student Council. This includes managing channels for communication and feedback, and attending meetings as required.
- Develop and implement professional development for student club executives, volunteers and student leaders including teambuilding, event management and other relevant workshops for students in both campuses.
- Collaborate with other University departments in the design and presentation of purposeful leadership development programs targeted to meet the needs of students and ultimately create social impact for both RMIT community as well as the wider community.
- Coordinate community-driven projects focusing on social impact in collaborations with internal and external organisations (RMIT departments, NGOs, Charities, Social Enterprises, Universities and other organisations).
- Coordinate and prepare regular reports on Purposeful Leadership programs and activities undertaken by the student leaders.
- Other duties as required by the Senior Manager, Student Life.- KEY SELECTION CRITERIA-
- An undergraduate degree in a relevant field. Master’s degree in relevant field is preferred.
- Significant successful experience in student leadership development, training and/or development coordination role preferably gained in a tertiary education multi campus environment.
- Well-developed planning, organisational, analytical and problem-solving skills as well as a demonstrated capacity to deliver on time and within budget.
- Demonstrate ability to provide direction, and work as part of a team environment to achieve stated objectives.
- Confident communication skills for consulting with stakeholders inside and outside the RMIT community.
- Proven ability to exercise initiative, think strategically and creatively, leverage relationships and adopt an active approach to initiatives that position students to be successful in clarifying and achieving their objectives locally and globally.
- Ability to display appropriate behaviours in line with the position, as per the RMIT Behavioural Capability Framework (Connectedness, Commitment to Excellence -Improve and Simplify; Imagination and Innovation; Impact; Inclusion; Agility).- English Proficiency-
- The minimum requirement is IELTS (General) 6.5 or equivalent.- Benefits-
- Competitive VND salary (plus allowances) starting from VND22,948,000 gross depending on proven track record in meeting all the key selection criteria.
