Global Functions (GFs) play a vital role in supporting the bank’s Global Businesses and offer a broad range of career opportunities in areas from legal, risk and finance to human resources, sustainability, marketing and communications. Their operational and functional teams around the world help HSBC’s Global Businesses to operate efficiently and effectively on a day-to-day basis. They also focus on controls and governance to reduce risk and protect the Group’s reputation.

We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as an Internship - VIP, WPB Risk.

Principal Accountabilities
- Reviewing and updating internal policy documents according Group policies and local Regulations;
- Tracking the completion of the general controls within the WPB Risk team, such as annual review of FIM / BIM reading, succession planning clear desk policy etc.
- Coordinating for annual review of Country Risk Plan and Internal Credit Audit;
- Supporting Head of WCRM to prepare MI for presentations and other ad-hoc requests;
- Following up with RM exceptional report including overdue and excess limit on daily basis;
- Generating monthly reports showing the CARMs approved, to be reviewed in the specific period, sampling list to Head of WMR/CRO, exceed limit approval, etc.
- Allocating CARM/CM submitted to approvers on daily basis;
- Tracking MI for the approval team on CARMs reviewed, exceptional approvals etc, to enable appropriate workflow planning;
- Supporting team as a coordinator for BCP of WMR team.
Qualifications
Experience, Skills and Qualifications
- Students from Universities/Educational Institutions who have not graduated yet and desire for a 6-9 months internship.
- Ability to intern full-time is a plus.
- Have a recommendation letter for their internship period from Universities/Institutions.
- Exposure financial analysis, risk management and internal control
- Good aptitude for systems and streamlining manual tasks
- You’ll achieve more when you join HSBC.
