I. ROLE PURPOSE

The Head of Media Relations & Internal Communications is responsible for designing, executing, and overseeing the full communication strategy of SSI, including external media relations and internal communications. The role aims to:

  • Strengthen SSI's brand reputation and visibility in the financial and securities market.
  • Ensure transparent, timely, and consistent communication to all external stakeholders and internal employees.
  • Foster a connected, engaged workplace culture that reflects SSI's values and strategic direction.

II. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Media Relations & External Communications

  • Develop and execute long-term PR strategies and annual communication plans aligned with SSI's brand objectives.
  • Build, maintain, and expand strong relationships with journalists, media agencies, and financial-industry associations.
  • Craft clear, strategic communication messages tailored to different stakeholders, including investors, shareholders, clients, regulators, and the public.
  • Lead media crisis preparedness and response: create communication scenarios, manage official spokesperson protocols, and coordinate cross-functional crisis handling.
  • Oversee the quality, accuracy, and consistency of all external communication materials such as press releases, PR articles, media statements, executive interviews, and public events.

2. Internal Communications

  • Develop internal communication strategies to enhance employee engagement and embed SSI's cultural values.
  • Plan and organize core internal events: internal newsletters, Town Halls, Talkshows, Employee Engagement programs, and annual corporate events (e.g., Year-end Gala).
  • Partner with HR to roll out communication campaigns related to employee recognition, culture, and organizational initiatives.
  • Manage all internal communication channels—including email, intranet, internal social groups, digital signage—ensuring content is relevant, timely, and aligned with corporate messaging.

3. Leadership & Operations Management

  • Lead, mentor, and develop the PR & Internal Communications team.
  • Build and manage communication budgets; ensure cost efficiency and resource optimization.
  • Monitor and evaluate communication effectiveness using appropriate KPIs and analytics; prepare periodic reports for the Executive Leadership Team.

III. QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Journalism, Communications, Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in PR/Communications, with at least 3 years in a managerial capacity.
  • Prefer candidates with experience in financial services, securities, or banking.
  • Proven track record in stakeholder management, crisis communication, and brand storytelling.
  • Strong leadership and team-building capabilities.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Exceptional writing and editorial skills with creativity and attention to detail.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to manage complex communication issues.
  • Fluent English (both written and spoken).
  • Proficient in digital communication tools and Microsoft Office Suite.
