Job Summary:

As the Head of AI Application, you will define and execute the AI roadmap for perception, cognition, and behavior understanding in humanoid robots.

You will lead cross-functional AI teams in designing models that combine vision, language, and action, ensuring that the robot can interpret human intentions, understand scenes, and respond autonomously yet safely.

Your leadership will bridge research and real-world deployment — from model design to edge optimization and large-scale data analytics.

Key Responsibilities:

• Define the AI technical roadmap covering Vision-Language-Action (VLA), Computer Vision, and Behavioral Data Analytics.
• Lead teams specializing in perception (VLM/Vision), cognition (LLM/VLA), and data analysis (behavior modeling, performance analytics).
• Design and supervise the development of AI models enabling robots to perceive environments, recognize human actions, and plan context-aware responses.
• Integrate VLM/VLA models with control and dialogue systems for natural human-robot interaction.
• Oversee large-scale data collection, annotation, and training pipelines for multimodal datasets (video, text, audio, sensor).
• Evaluate and deploy AI models on embedded and edge platforms (NVIDIA Jetson AGX, RTX-based systems).
• Collaborate closely with ROS2, Hardware, and System Application teams to ensure seamless integration between AI and robot control layers.
• Implement model monitoring, evaluation, and retraining pipelines for continuous improvement and safety assurance.
• Guide research directions in embodied intelligence, multimodal learning, and ethical AI deployment.
• Mentor engineers and researchers, fostering a high-performance AI team culture with clear quarterly OKRs and measurable outcomes.

Requirements:

Must Have:

• Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in Artificial Intelligence, Computer Science, Robotics, or related fields.
• 7+ years of experience in AI or robotics R&D, including 3+ years in a lead or managerial role.
• Strong expertise in computer vision (object detection, segmentation, pose estimation) and transformer-based architectures (ViT, CLIP, BLIP, LLaVA, RT-2, OpenVLA).
• Hands-on experience training and deploying multimodal AI models that combine vision, language, and action.
• Proficiency in Python, PyTorch, TensorFlow, and modern AI toolchains.
• Experience in designing AI pipelines for data ingestion, annotation, and analytics (Pandas, Spark, or similar).
• Strong understanding of model optimization and deployment on edge devices (Jetson, Orin, RTX).
• Excellent communication, leadership, and strategic planning skills for managing multidisciplinary AI teams.

Nice to Have:

• Research background in Vision-Language Models (VLM), Reinforcement Learning (RL), or Embodied AI.
• Publications in top-tier AI conferences (CVPR, ICCV, NeurIPS, ICRA, CoRL).
• Familiarity with ROS2, real-time inference, and integration of AI modules into robotic control systems.
• Experience in AI-based security analytics — behavioral event detection, anomaly prediction, or crowd monitoring.
• Knowledge of data visualization and AI performance dashboards for robot fleet management.
• Experience in building AI infrastructure (MLOps, model versioning, experiment tracking).
• Familiarity with LLM safety alignment and hallucination mitigation in VLM/VLA systems.
