**Organization Description**:
Founded in 1998, Shrimp Improvement Systems (SIS) produces genetically improved and Specific Pathogen Free _P vannamei_ shrimp broodstock and has initiated the breeding of _P monodon_ and _P stylirostris_. The organization consists of a Nucleus Breeding Center, production tanks, hatchery and administrative buildings, and has proven to be ideal for both shrimp breeding and broodstock multiplication. Shrimp Improvement Systems is one of the leading producers of SPF vannamei in the worldwide shrimp aquaculture industry.

The position of Office Manager encompasses overseeing general office operations while also managing a significant portion of human resource functions, including recruitment, employee onboarding, payroll processing, performance evaluations, ensuring compliance with local labor laws, and maintaining employee records, all within the context of Vietnamese regulations and company policies.

**Supervisory Duties**:No direct supervision

**Essential Responsibilities and Duties**:
1. Office Management:
a. Managing office facilities and maintenance.

b. Overseeing administrative tasks like filing, document control, and supply management.

c. Coordinating office logistics, including meetings, travel arrangements, and visitor management.

d. Maintaining a professional and organized work environment.

2. Human Resource Functions:
b. Payroll administration: Calculating salaries, processing payroll deductions, including employee expense reimbursements, and ensuring timely payments.

c. Employee benefits management: Maintaining knowledge of employee benefits plans and addressing related inquiries.

d. Performance management: Conducting performance evaluations, providing feedback, and developing performance improvement plans.

e. Employee relations: Addressing employee concerns, mediating disputes, and promoting positive workplace culture.

f. Compliance with Labor Laws: Staying updated on Vietnamese labor laws and ensuring company adherence to regulations regarding working hours, leave policies, and termination procedures.

g. Training and Development: Coordinating employee training programs to enhance skills and performance.

3. Maintain confidentiality of company proprietary information

**Required Education and Experience**:

- Strong understanding of Vietnamese labor laws and regulations.
- Proven experience in office management and administrative tasks.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with employees at all levels.
- Proficiency in HR practices, including recruitment, performance management, and employee relations.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines effectively.
- Computer literacy with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and HR management systems.
- Fluency in Vietnamese and English, both written and spoken.

**Travel Requirements**:
Occasional travel, local, national and/or international, may be expected with this position.

**Physical Requirements**:
1. Ability to work at least 40 hours per week; may include nights, weekends, holidays and/or on-call. Regular attendance is essential to carry out the duties of this position.

2. Ability to lift or carry up to 10-20 lbs.

3. Ability to work sitting/standing for long periods of time.
