Education Technology Specialist

The Education Technology Specialist will also closely work with the MOET and Cambridge academic leadership team, both centrally, and at all campuses across VAS to implement digital educational resources and best practices, provide training and assure data quality & control.

**I. Job Description**

Specific responsibilities include:

- **Data Analytics**
- Develop and build automated operational reports and dashboards with the help of Power BI and other reporting tools
- Support the data warehouse in identifying and revising reporting requirements along with reporting environment, including data sources, security, and metadata
- Commission and decommission data sets, use filters and graphs for a better understanding of the data and make technical changes to existing analytical systems in order to enhance their working
- **User Training & Support**
- Assists end-users in resolving issues by providing guidance to resolution on software with a sense of urgency
- Follow and understand all support methods and procedures to accurately log all issues using the incident/ticket management tracking system
- Troubleshoot recurring issues and research, identify, communicate and fix (where possible) the root cause
- Define and classify level, priority and nature of problem, request and/or issue. If unable to diagnose problem, escalate problem to the appropriate team
- Assume ticket ownership through tracking and closing trouble tickets to maintain user satisfaction, KPIs and SLA
- Manage user and user roles on all core systems
- Coordinate and conduct technical skill-building training sessions for core platforms to end-user
- Recommend and present process and procedure enhancements where appropriate
- **Technical Writing**
- Learn and analyze internal processes to determine documentation requirements
- Gather information through use, research, source documents, and review of existing documentation
- Write various types of documentation, such as standard operational procedures, manuals, FAQs, forms, and reference guides
- Perform regular assessments on the effectiveness of the documents produced
- Update, edit, and improve existing documents based on current VAS writing standards, quality, and style guidelines. Convert the materials into the current templates when necessary
- Participate in project teams and make recommendations on the types of documents and information necessary to achieve business goals
- **Quality Assurance**
- Assist with planning, executing, and overseeing product inspection and testing for quality and conformance to specifications and deliverables
- Investigate reports of product quality issues and ensure resolution in accordance with company guidelines and regulatory requirements
- Continuously audit and work with vendors to ensure product quality is met to the highest standards
- Monitor risk-management procedures, maintain problem logs, and report issues to managers and product developers
- Ensuring compliance with laws and regulations set by MOET (Ministry of Education & Technology)
- **Other Duties**
- Assist operations with timetables for all VAS campuses in a timely, accurate and efficient manner
- Source and import all external data and testing results to the MIS, including but not limited to Cambridge, GL, CEM and DOET
- Work with other departments to track shared data points and ensure smooth operational process
- Setting up the procedures and systems for timetabling purposes
- Other duties as assigned from time to time by the Line Manager and Academic Leadership Team

**II. **Requirements**

**1. General requirements**
- Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree and above
- Fluent communication in English
- Knowledge and experience
- Strong knowledge and understanding of information & learning management software
- Strong knowledge of database fundamentals such as multidimensional database design, relational database design, SQL & DAX queries
- Excellent computer skills, including high-level use of data analytic tools.
- Demonstrated experience in handling large data sets and relational databases.
- Knowledge of quality assurance terminology, methods, and tools.

**2. Skill requirements for the job**
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong coordination and ability to deal with conflict.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Proficiency in best practices for testing, version control, and defect management.
- Proven experience in designing and delivering multiple training events in a corporate setting.
- Familiarity with traditional and modern training methods, tools and techniques.
- Self-motivated with a flexible approach to work and think strategically.
- Ability to prioritize workloads effectively, balancing conflicting deadlines and achieving results within a fixed timescale.
- Ability to show attention to detail and produce work of high quality
