Market Insight Director, Ani

**MAIN PURPOSE OF ROLE**
The role will drive Vietnam ANI to become a consumer-centric organization by providing meaningful and compelling insights that will drive Business Growth - this will include collaborating with Commercial Business Partners to ensure vetted NPIs and communications as well as ensuring accurate market / share forecast for the financial cycles along with providing insights to the category and competitions.
Besides Vietnam ANI, the role will also provide strategic support to the affiliates in the Pacific Asia region in terms of enabling on time and accurate market performance updates. This will entail collaborating closely with Division as well as Affiliates Market Insights Teams.
This is a people manager role with a team of 6 (including Full-time and Contract Staff).
**MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES**

- Drive to "so-what’s" by making actionable recommendations routed in deep understanding of marketing, business and consumer
- Ability to triangulate knowledge across multiple data sources and come up with clear conclusions
- Listen and learn externally. Mine, uncover and communicate best practices internally
- Lead learning plan development in line and right sized to deliver business strategies and goals

- Keep the organization in touch with needs, influences and behavior across core consumer segments
- Create an innovation rhythm that addresses unmet needs, purchase barriers and is ahead of trends
- Champion brand health and equity fundamentals, tracking performance vs. goals

- Be flexible and creative to adjust to changing priorities and business challenges. Deal with ambiguity, while showing strong drive for results and project leadership skills
- Be accountable for business goals identifying share & other topline building opportunities

**Support the Area Market Measurement and Reporting needs**
- Ensure timely delivery of accurate monthly market performance reporting needs to countries in the PA area by closely collaborate with PA Area Market Insights Team on data QC and reporting
- Collaborate with PA MI to constantly challenge the status quo of data provider to improve on data quality as well as continuously improving on the report to provide true business insights behind the performance
**Key Success Criteria**
- Consumer market research, advertising, and/or marketing experience. Cross-functional experience preferred
- Consumer Products Goods or Health Products experience desirable

Provide forward looking insights based on fact-based external lens to help business anticipate business challenges in a timely manner thereby enabling timely corrective actions to be taken
Provide strategic support resulting in sound SG&A, A&P investment decisions by leveraging CTC and other ROI measurements
Provide strategic support in planning / budgeting cycles by ensuring fact-based and sound market forecast and consumer centric insights to support commercial excellence in the
upstream / downstream business levers
Successfully deliver VN learning plan that is aligned with business priorities / focus on time and on budget including working collaboratively with ANI Area MI (specifically monthly performance reporting for Area markets) and Central MI teams
**MINIMUM BACKGROUND/ EXPERIENCE REQUIRED**

- Experienced in Primary Market Research including Qualitative and Quantitative including Tracking Studies, Innovation Validation as well as Communication Research
- Experience in syndicated data such as Nielsen Retail Audit and Kantar Panel
- Team Management
- Data Analytic experience such as Marketing Mix Modelling, Statistic forecasting (time series / regression analysis)
- At least 10 years
- Consumer market research, advertising, and/or marketing experience. Cross-functional experience preferred
- Consumer Products Goods or Health Products experience desirable
