**BRITISH UNIVERSITY VIETNAM (BUV)**

British University Vietnam (BUV) is the first and only international university in Vietnam to directly award British degrees from the prestigious University of London and Staffordshire University. BUV is rated a 5 Star university of excellence by the world recognised QS accreditor, and is also recognised with a University-wide accreditation from the UK’s Quality Assurance Agency (QAA).

BUV has three main brand drivers:

- Offering accredited British and international higher education and training in Vietnam.
- Providing 5-star university campuses, learning spaces, and services.
- Including a compulsory personal and social growth program that prepares students for the future of life and work.

Established in 2009, BUV provides teaching for undergraduate and graduate programmes. Employability rates for students are exceptionally high with 100% of graduates from BUV either employed or continuing higher education within 3 months after graduation.

With a wide network of more than 300 enterprise partners in various fields, and 12-week internship programmes, BUV helps students gain professional knowledge and practical skills to meet employers’ requirements as well as be ready to develop their careers immediately after graduation.

***POSITION PURPOSE**

With the purpose of providing every BUV student with a great learning environment but also an engaging, memorable and impactful student life, the Student Life team, under the Department of Student Engagement offers a wide array of student activities, events, campaigns, competitions, initiatives that contribute to BUV’s missions of developing a highly employable graduates who have ethics of kindness and caring, skills in cross disciplines and languages, be innovative, imaginative and respectfully confident with a positive attitude towards continuous learning. The position Associate Manager for Student Life is to manage the overall quality of student activities and events, manage the team’s performance and communication standards, design a variety of activities with points awarding system that contribute to the Personal and Social Growth (PSG) Programme, develop useful materials (including policies, procedures, guidelines, student packages) and ensure highest students’ engagement in the offerings through different strategies and approaches.

The Associate Manager, Student Life, is in charge of supervising and maintaining the excellent operations of all activities related to clubs and societies, student-led projects, student body engagement and other student association, social events for the student community and those that add value to the wider community. The job holder will ensure effective delivery of student programmes/events that support building an inclusive and engaging campus environment for students and the best experience and outcome relating to student leadership and skill development for students and their personal growth.

He or she is also responsible to ensure an excellent customer service delivery of the team to our students, parents, partners and other stakeholders at British University Vietnam.

***AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY**
- Lead and manage Student life team, provide training for team members when required.
- Develop and supervise the implementation of policies and procedures to maintain optimal functioning of the Student Life team.
- Manage the implementation of student orientation programmes with the aim to familiarize new students with the university life, student body and enable students of all cohorts to mingle and build a strong connection via a variety of activities.
- Manage the communications with the student body via tools including, but not limited to, social media channels, student portal, learning management system resources, student handbooks etc.
- Monitor the implementation (quality, compliance, process) of student programmes and events at the community level including, but not limited to, volunteering activities, club and societies activities, sports and recs events, entertainment events, receptions, student-led projects, etc.
- Monitor and maximize offerings and support for clubs, societies and student associations.
- Represent Student Life Team and Student body at campus/community functions where requested.
- Work closely with the Student Associate Committee (SAC) about initiatives to enhance overall student experience, student voice, meaningful student community’s social engagement and ensure the efficient operations and outcome delivery of the SAC.
