Information Technology Business Analyst

We are seeking an exceptionally motivated and highly articulate
Business Analyst
with a deep understanding of translating complex data science and business needs into actionable product requirements. You will serve as the crucial bridge between our clinical/hospital/business stakeholders and our engineering/product/data science teams, ensuring our AI products are both technically sound and deliver maximum value in a healthcare setting.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

As a Business Analyst for Cognisian, you will be responsible for:

Deep Requirements Elicitation and Analysis:

• Proactively partner with clinical experts, product managers, and business users to perform in-depth requirements gathering
  , utilizing various techniques such as workshops, interviews, and workflow analysis.
• Specifically, define requirements for
  AI models, data pipelines, and analytical interfaces
  , translating complex
  deep data science logic
  into clear, measurable, and testable functional specifications (user stories, acceptance criteria, use cases).
• Analyze and document
  "as-is" and "to-be" clinical and operational workflows
  to identify gaps and opportunities for AI-driven process optimization.

Product and Stakeholder Management:

• Collaborate closely with the Product Owner/Manager
  to manage and refine the
  Product Backlog
  , ensuring user stories are groomed, prioritized, and ready for development sprints.
• Actively engage and manage diverse stakeholders
  (e.g., clinicians, hospital administrators, engineers, data scientists) across the project lifecycle, providing clear, concise updates on project status, risks, and changes.
• Represent the team in cross-functional meetings,
  Product Review/Demo meetings
  , and key decision-making forums, ensuring all outcomes are clearly documented and communicated back to the engineering team.

Quality Assurance and Testing Support:

• Develop, review, and refine comprehensive test strategies, test scenarios, and acceptance criteria
  that align with the functional requirements, paying special attention to the validation of AI model outputs and data accuracy.
• Coordinate and facilitate
  User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
  sessions with end-users, meticulously tracking, verifying, and prioritizing defects to ensure a high-quality product release.
• Work with QA engineers to ensure
  traceability
  from requirements through to testing.

Adoption and Enablement:

• Develop and deliver effective training materials, documentation (e.g., user manuals, release notes), and interactive sessions to support end-users (e.g., physicians, analysts) in the successful adoption of new AI platforms and processes
  .
• Provide post-implementation support and gather feedback to drive continuous product improvement and feature refinement.

YOUR SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

Education & Technical Foundation:

• A Bachelor's Degree
  in a relevant field such as
  Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Engineering, or a closely related quantitative major
  is required. A Master's degree is a plus.
• Proven track record of +
  3 years
  working as a Business Analyst, preferably within a
  B2B SaaS, data analytics, or product-focused technology company
  . Experience in the
  healthcare/health-tech sector
  is a significant advantage.
• Technical Familiarity:
  Foundational understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and
  Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban)
  . Familiarity with requirements management tools like
  Jira, Confluence.

• Analytical Prowess:

• Professional Experience:
  Proven track record of
  2-3 years
  working as a Business Analyst, preferably within a
  B2B SaaS, data analytics, or product-focused technology company
  . Experience in the
  healthcare/health-tech sector
  is a significant advantage.

• Previous experience defining requirements for
  AI/Machine Learning (ML)
  models, data visualization tools, or business intelligence (BI) dashboards.
• Familiarity with
  clinical data standards (e.g., HL7, FHIR, DICOM)

• Certifications such as
  CBAP, CCBA, CSPO, or CSM
