Financial Controller/ Senior Finance Manager

Key Responsibilities

Financial Leadership & Strategy

• Lead all finance and accounting functions for the Vietnam factory, providing strategic financial guidance to the management team.
• Partner with the Group Financial Controller to develop and implement financial strategies, policies, and procedures that support the company's growth and profitability.
• Participate in establishing the strategic direction for the company, including planning for expansion and ad-hoc projects.

Financial Reporting & Analysis

• Oversee all financial reporting, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with Vietnamese accounting standards and IFRS.
• Prepare and present financial reports, forecasts, and budgets to senior management.
• Monitor and analyze the performance of operating units, highlighting significant issues, investigating variances, and implementing corrective measures.

Cost Control & Budgeting

• Develop and manage the budgeting process, including forecasting and long-range planning.
• Implement and maintain robust cost control measures to optimize operational efficiency and profitability.
• Provide accurate and timely quotations to support the sales and business development teams.

Compliance & Risk Management

• Ensure the company's compliance with all legal, tax, and regulatory requirements in Vietnam.
• Manage relationships with banks, auditors, and other external stakeholders.
• Oversee customs and company secretarial matters, ensuring prudence and efficiency in all financial and legal structures.

Operational Excellence

• Review and evaluate the efficiency and effectiveness of financial and operational policies and procedures, recommending and implementing improvements.
• Provide financial expertise and support for the new plant setup and ramp-up activities.

Qualifications & Experience

• Education - Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accountancy, Finance, or a related discipline.
• CPA or equivalent professional accounting qualification is highly advantageous.

Experience

• Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in finance and commerce, with at least 5 years in a senior management role.
• Essential: Proven experience in the manufacturing industry is a must.
• Demonstrated experience with new plant setup and ramp-up is highly desirable.

Skills & Competencies

• In-depth knowledge of Vietnamese accounting standards and taxation regulations.
• Proficiency in English is required. Fluency in Cantonese and/or Mandarin is a strong advantage.
• Strong leadership, interpersonal, and management skills with the ability to lead and motivate a team.
• Excellent analytical skills, with a keen attention to detail and the ability to provide insightful financial analysis.
• Proactive, self-motivated, and able to work independently under pressure.
