Our Human Resources team in Vietnam is looking for a Chief Accountant, who will take care of accounting and Tax in the Viet Nam team. He or she will provide advice, counsel, and execute Tax compliance for the Viet Nam team.

Responsibilities

● Manage all accounting transactions and bookkeeping under VAS (VAT compliance), reconcile accounts payable and receivable.

● Establish and maintain robust internal control procedures.

● Prepare and submit reports on FIE (Foreign-Invested Enterprises).

● Manage and monitor accounting procedures and optimize tax liabilities within compliance.

● Coordinate and facilitate tax authorities and external audit requirements.

● Prepare budget and rolling forecasts, and report variances, including operational metrics and KPIs.

● Assist in providing information, reports, data and answers to the designated auditor for preparation of annual financial statement reports.

● Publish and report financial statements in time.

● Drive process improvement to shorten close cycle and improve accuracy.

● Report on the company's financial health, performance and liquidity.

● Manage and enforce company policies regarding petty cash, capital requirements, assets disposals, acquisitions and tracking, expenses, etc.

● Comply with financial policies and regulations.

● Liaise with corporate finance in North America to ensure alignment of financial reporting, budgeting, forecasts, etc.

● Assist corporate finance in North America during auditing processes by providing accounting data and information about the Vietnam operation.

● Perform ad hoc financial analysis to support business decisions.

Requirements and skills

● Excellent verbal, interpersonal, and written communication skills in English, for internal reporting, corporate finance communication and external audits.

● 5–10 years of experience as a Chief / Senior Accountant, preferably in FIEs.

● Excellent knowledge of Vietnam accounting standards (VAS), Vietnam tax law (corporate income tax, VAT) and procedures, and local audit practices.

● Hands-on experience with accounting software XERO or equivalent accounting software.

● Experience with reporting and forecasting tools, ideally Fathom or equivalent reporting systems.

● Advanced MS Excel skills including vlookups and pivot tables.

● Experience with general ledger functions.

● Strong attention to detail and good analytical skills.

● BSc in Accounting, Finance or relevant degree.

● Chief Accountant Degree certification is a must, and CPA, ACCA, or similar international certifications are considered a plus.
