**Job Title: Business Development & Partnership Lead - BFSI Solutions**

**The Role**

As our Business Development Lead, you will drive partnerships with RegTech firms and directly engage with BFSI clients to position our data governance platform as the backbone of their compliance strategy. You’ll leverage your deep understanding of APRA/ASIC regulations and technical acumen to build trust, close deals, and expand our footprint in Australia’s tightly regulated financial sector.

**Key Responsibilities**

**Strategic Partnerships**:

- Identify and onboard RegTech partners (e.g., AxiomSL, Cappitech, DHI-AI) to co-develop compliance solutions.
- Negotiate white-label agreements, revenue-sharing models, and joint go-to-market strategies.

**Client Acquisition**:

- Target mid-tier banks (e.g., Bank of Queensland, Judo Bank), neobanks (e.g., Up, Tyro), and credit unions (e.g., People First Bank) with tailored pitches.
- Sell our data governance platform for use cases like APRA LCR reporting, ASIC breach automation, and CDR compliance.

**Compliance-Driven Sales**:

- Translate technical capabilities (metadata management, data lineage, AI-driven quality checks) into regulatory ROI (e.g., “Reduce APRA audit prep time by 60%”).
- Collaborate with compliance consultants to address client pain points (e.g., CPS 230 readiness, RG 78 reporting).

**Ecosystem Collaboration**:

- Partner with Microsoft’s Azure team to co-sell compliance-ready solutions (e.g., Azure Purview integration).
- Represent the company at industry events (e.g., RegTech Association forums, ASIC webinars).

**Skills & Experience**

**Must-Haves**:

- 5+ years in B2B sales, preferably in RegTech, compliance software, or cloud/data services for BFSI.
- Proven track record of closing deals ($100K+ ACV) with mid-tier banks, insurers, or fintechs.
- Strong grasp of APRA/ASIC regulations (e.g., CPS 234, RG 78) and their technical implications.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure/AWS), data governance tools, and analytics stacks.

**Nice-to-Haves**:

- Existing network in AU BFSI (e.g., CTOs, CDOs, Heads of Compliance).
- Experience with OpenMetadata, Collibra, or similar governance tools.
- Understanding of data sovereignty and AU Privacy Act requirements.
