General Director

**Position Overview**

We are looking for an experienced General Director to control and oversee all business operations, people, and ventures. You will be the highest-ranking manager in the organisation and will be responsible for the overall success of the business.

You are responsible for driving sales and ensuring monthly KPIs, targets, and goals are met. Another equally critical mission you need to pay attention to is managing the entire employee life cycle from recruiting to performance evaluation, scheduling, and training and developing the team.

The goal is to ensure the company is constantly moving towards fulfilling its short-term and long-term objectives and does not diverge from its strategic guidelines. Thus, it is crucial that you possess exceptional customer service skills and a collaborative leadership style to ensure maximum customer and employee satisfaction.

**What does a successful General Director look like?**
- Develop and execute the company’s business strategies in order to attain the goals of the board and shareholders
- Prepare and implement comprehensive business plans to facilitate achievement by planning cost-effective operations and market development activities. Develop pricing strategies, guidelines for merchandising displays and decorations
- Ensure company policies and legal guidelines are communicated all the way from the top down in the company and that they are followed at all times
- Work with HR and store managers to devise effective recruiting and learning and development programs
- Develop, implement, review and monitor the operating plan and budget. Oversee the company’s financial performance, investments and other business ventures
- Delegate responsibilities and supervise the work of executives providing guidance and motivation to drive maximum performance
- Read all submitted reports by lower-rank managers to reward performance, prevent issues and resolve problems
- Analyse problematic situations and occurrences and provide solutions to ensure company survival and growth

**What you need**
- Proven experience as General Director or other managerial position, preferrably in the hospitality industry
- A willingness to learn and grow
- Well-organised, detail and result-oriented, and able to multitask
- Effective leadership with strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrable experience in developing strategic and business plans
- Thorough knowledge of market changes and forces that influence the company
- Strong understanding of corporate finance and measures of performance
- Familiarity with corporate law and management best practices
- Self-motivated and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment
- Proficient in various computer software such as Microsoft Office Suite, inventory management, order fulfillment, etc.
- Comfortable with speaking and writing in English (IELTS 6.5 or above)
- BSc/BA in business administration or relevant field; MSc/MA will be preferred
