Grand Hyatt Rio de Janeiro is seeking an accomplished Director of Operations to provide direct oversight of the Rooms, F&B, Engineering and Security areas of the hotel. Responsibilities include the smooth and efficient running of all operational aspects of the hotel as a business manager and marketing specialist. To ensure that the various departments run according to the standards set for the brand in general and the hotel specifically. As a member of the property's leadership, the Director of Operations is a highly visible role with exposure to Senior and Corporate leadership.

This key leadership role requires a creative, experienced and inspirational leader with exceptional interpersonal skills and high level of emotional intelligence to adjust to varied contexts and operations needs. Demonstrated hospitality and resort business acumen with a strong desire to succeed is a must in order to achieve the ambitious targets that have been set for Grand Hyatt Rio de Janeiro.

Qualificações
- Works closely with other Leadership Committee members in a supportive and flexible manner, focusing on the overall success of the hotel and guest satisfaction
- Ensures that the Guest Experience activities are aligned with the respective corporate strategy, and that the hotel actions have been implemented where appropriate
- Represents the operations function on the hotel's Leadership Committee
- Conducts regular divisional communications meetings and ensures that departmental briefings and meetings are informational and conducted as necessary
- Ensures that all operational systems are functioning correctly and that colleagues are using them to the fullest capacity
- Ensures that each revenue-generating department under their supervision is operated in line with maximizing revenues and profit through up-selling, pricing activities and proper yield management, while delivering on the brand promise
- Ensures that all company minimum brand standards have been implemented, and that optional brand standards have been implemented where appropriate
- Ensures that all colleagues deliver the brand promise and live the company´s purpose, providing exceptional service at all times, thus aiming to achieve the hotel´s objective in yearly NPS scores and guest preference within social media websites
- Works closely with the marketing team in preparing, and updating an annual marketing plan, broken down as necessary by division and/or department
- Maximizes the effectiveness of leaders by developing each of their skills and abilities through the appropriate training, coaching, and mentoring
- Encourages employees to be creative and innovative, challenging and recognizing them for their contribution to the success of the operation
- Supports the implementation of Hyatt’s purpose, demonstrating and reinforcing Hyatt’s values and culture
- Demonstrated ability to effectively interact with people of diverse socioeconomic, cultural, disability, and ethnic backgrounds.
