The Country Head is responsible for owning and leading the operations teams located in the Ho Chi Minh Office. The role will include local office and offshore office operations delivery for every aspect of Fund Accounting, Fund Administration, Transfer Agency, and Corporate Solutions function. The Country Head will work closely with Client Strategic management teams, Product and Client Relationship Managers. Ensuring the quality (accuracy, timeliness, and delivery) of service to clients.

Job Responsibilities:

- Oversee the operations, ensuring their accuracy and compliance with governing and regulatory procedures. This a senior leadership role and involves a combination of commerical long-term thinking, market insight, vision, leadership, interpersonal skills, high problem-solving skills, and flexibility.
- The role duties and responsibilities will include but not limited to the following: Operational:

- Translate strategy into an operational plan for delivery and provide oversight and guidance to ensure organisational leadership and day to day business running
- Work closely with other regional functional leads across Operations and wider CRM and Product team
- Develop and foster key relationships within business / product line and promote an environment of personal development and continuous improvement
- Drive strategic dialogue across operations and businesses to prioritize key initiatives
- Ensuring excellent client service delivery to existing clients and functional products
- Meeting Apex’s operational targets
- Responsible for the team across Vietnam including resource planning for the new businesses
- Team collaboration across multiple jurisdictions globally including Centre of Excellence teams, ensuring that client deliverables are being met
- Interact with Senior management and clients
- Build presence and reputation of Apex in the location as cross border specialist
- Review procedures and recommend solutions in order to improve efficiencies
- Ensure adherence to all internal and external audit standards
- Implementation of fund structures onto accounting system
- Review of constitutional documents and preparation of client SLA and budgeting

Skills Required:

- Bachelor or Master level degree
- 10+ years experience of leading a fund accounting / fund administration business
- A professional accounting designation such a CA, CPAA, or ACCA etc., would be an asset.
- Familiarity with the Singapore Companies Act and have a good understanding of the requirements of offshore companies would be a plus.
- Excellent communication skills and proficiency in English (both Verbal and written)
- Motivated, bright and diligent individual who is driven to meet deadlines
- Attention to detail and ability to work on multiple projects
- A team player who is able to manage individual responsibilities
- Advanced level MS excel, proficient with MS Word, MS PowerPoint
- A detailed understanding of Real Estate and REIT fund structures and the fund administration industry
- Knowledge and prior experience on YARDI, eFront, Allvue and Investran system is a big advantage
