Our client is a leading company in the mining industry who is looking for a qualified talent to join their firm:

- Develop and implement the companys investment strategy in the mining sector, considering factors such as market trends, risk appetite, financial goals, and long-term objectives.
- Identify and evaluate potential mining investment opportunities, including acquisitions, joint ventures, partnerships, and greenfield or brownfield projects. Conduct thorough due diligence, analyzing technical, financial, legal, and regulatory aspects to assess their viability and potential risks.
- Perform financial modeling, cash flow analysis, and valuation of mining projects to determine their financial attractiveness and potential returns. Assess the projects profitability, payback period, internal rate of return (IRR), and other financial metrics.
- Identify and evaluate risks associated with mining investments, such as geological, operational, environmental, regulatory, and market risks. Develop risk mitigation strategies and recommend appropriate risk management measures.
- Present investment opportunities and recommendations to senior management or investment committees, providing detailed analysis, financial projections, and risk assessments. Support decision-making by offering insights into the potential benefits, risks, and strategic fit of each investment opportunity.
- Oversee the negotiation and structuring of investment agreements, including financial terms, ownership structures, and legal documentation. Collaborate with legal, finance, and technical teams to ensure smooth execution of investment transactions.
- Monitor and manage the performance of the companys mining investments. Conduct regular reviews and assessments to track progress, identify issues, and make strategic adjustments as required.
- Build and maintain relationships with external stakeholders, including mining industry participants, financial institutions, government agencies, and local communities. Collaborate with relevant parties to leverage resources, secure necessary permits, and navigate regulatory requirements.
- Stay updated on industry trends, market dynamics, commodity prices, and technological advancements affecting the mining sector. Provide market intelligence and analysis to guide investment decisions and identify potential opportunities or threats.

**Requirements**:

- A bachelors degree in finance, economics, engineering, geology, or a related field is typically required. A masters degree in business administration (MBA) or a relevant discipline is advantageous.
- At least 8+ years of work experience.
- Extensive experience in mining investment, project evaluation, or corporate finance roles, preferably within the mining industry, is essential.
- In-depth understanding of the mining industry, including mining processes, project development life cycle, regulatory frameworks, and environmental considerations. Familiarity with various mining commodities and their market dynamics is important.
- Strong financial analysis skills, including financial modeling, valuation techniques, and risk analysis. Ability to interpret financial statements, assess investment performance, and analyze industry trends and forecasts.
- Familiarity with mining project evaluation methodologies, including resource estimation, feasibility studies, and technical due diligence. Knowledge of mining geology, mineral processing, and operational considerations is beneficial.
- Strong strategic mindset and ability to align investment decisions with the companys long-term objectives. Capacity to assess the competitive landscape, identify value drivers, and make sound investment recommendations based on market conditions and industry trends.
- Proven experience in identifying and evaluating mining investment opportunities. Demonstrated ability to cultivate relationships, negotiate transactions, and execute investment agreements.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills to convey investment effectively
