We are seeking for a talented, dedicated professional to be a Vietnam-based Student Recruitment and Engagement Managerfor The University of Adelaide. The University of Adelaide is a member of Australia’s prestigious Group of Eight research-intensive universities, stands tall among the world’s leading institutions of learning and innovation.

The role will be based in Hanoi and will be fully dedicated to representing The University of Adelaide.

**Reports to (Position Title)**:

- Senior Manager, Engagement (Vietnam & Cambodia)
- Executive Director, Grok Global Services

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**

**Student Recruitment and Partnership Engagement**
- Provide support on the implementation of marketing and student recruitment activities in Vietnam and Cambodia, under the direction of Senior Manager Engagement (Vietnam & Cambodia)
- Work closely with the Global Engagement branch to support and implement partnership engagement activities in the designated region
- Contribute to the development and delivery of the UoA FS and GE South East Asia regional international student recruitment and engagement strategy
- Actively engage with potential and existing international partners to develop, maintain and grow sustainable recruitment pipelines and engagement opportunities
- Assist the Senior Manager by providing timely intelligence and researching trends and competitor activities to inform strategy including advice on the impact of legislation and political/social events within the designated region
- Support the Senior Manager to manage the University’s agent network, monitor agents’ compliance with the ESOS Act and National Code, and provide feedback on the agents’ performance
- Represent the University at recruitment fairs, exhibitions, agent interview programs, partner and stakeholder meetings, and other forums as directed
- Assist in the development, maintenance and review of effective marketing collateral and campaigns to raise University’s brand presence, lead generation, student conversions, and profile with partners in the designated region
- Support identification, development and delivery of engagement activities in the designated region including opportunities under the Australia Awards Program, New Colombo Plan and other schemes as directed
- Coordinate and support execution of Global Partnership servicing plans, including transnational initiatives and partner engagement plans.
- Provide monthly reports on expenses and activities to the Senior Manager
- Provide recruitment and engagement support to academic/professional staff from the University as required during their visits to the region
- Provide support to Senior Executive Missions as required during visits to the region
- Support team members across the Future Student and Global Engagement branches when workloads are uneven - at the direction of the Senior Manager, Regional Manager, South East Asia (FS), and Global Partnerships Manager (GE)
- Undertake extensive travel within Vietnam and Cambodia. Some other international travel may be required.

**Stakeholder Relations**
- Develop and maintain effective working relationships with a range of University staff to support the University’s international recruitment and engagement strategy in the designated region
- Maintain close collaborative working relationships with University business partners including agents, universities, schools, sponsoring bodies, government and non-government agencies to facilitate the transfer of students to the University and activate engagement activities
- Perform regular visits to University stakeholders in order to provide support

**Enquiry Management**
- Respond to enquiries from prospective partners and sponsors regarding establishment of possible partnerships with UoA

Perform other related duties as required

**ESSENTIAL CRITERIA**

**Knowledge and Experience**:

- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of the international higher education sector
- Proven highly-developed oral and written communication skills, including the ability to make effective presentations and produce high quality written documents and reports
- Highly developed organisational, analytical and problem-solving skills, and ability to manage a high-volume workload
- Strong track record in stakeholder management and development of effective partnerships which benefit an organisation
- Experience in providing market intelligence, conducting research, and gathering data to help assess recruitment initiatives, partnership and country engagement opportunities and inform future strategies
- Demonstrated initiative and drive and the ability to work constructively both independently and as part of a small team
- A willingness and capacity to undertake extensive domestic travel in Vietnam, Cambodia and occasional overseas travel to Australia and other countries in the South East Asia region
