**Responsibilities**:

- **Internal reporting and compliance**:

- Manage month-end closing process and ensure all accounting activities of the company are recorded properly according to the local law and company policy
- Prepare monthly financials and perform variance analysis
- Maintain accounting controls by establishing a chart of accounts; defining accounting policies and procedures.
- Maintain of Cash forecast for the Vietnam office
- **Compliance and tax**:

- Proactively engage with auditor for annual statutory audit and other accounting/tax compliance matters
- Work with auditor in the preparation of local statutory financial statements in accordance with accounting regimes and accounting standards
- Reconcile the local statutory accounts to management accounts
- Prepare, calculate and file periodic tax returns such as corporate income tax, VAT, and foreign contractor withholding tax
- Act as the named “Chief Accountant” for the Vietnam entity, the firm is willing to sponsor for the chief accountant certificate
- **Advise management and finance leadership on local compliance needs**
- **Support the corporate and regional finance team on local regulatory matters and in the liaison with local venders and bankers**
- **Handles payment disbursements to staffs, vendors, and government bodies via online banking portal, liaise with the bank for necessary requirements**
- **Other ad hoc duties as assigned**

**Requirements**:

- Act as the named “Chief Accountant” for the Vietnam entity, the firm is willing to sponsor for the chief accountant certificate
- A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance, professional qualifications such as ACCA, CPA are preferred
- A minimum of 5+ years of relevant professional experience in external audit and/or finance functions in MNCs
- Fulfil the registration criteria for Chief Accountant in Vietnam
- Solid knowledge on Local GAAP with experience in preparing reconciliation/financial statements
- Experience with tax filings and local tax regulations of Vietnam
- Knowledge of international tax and transfer pricing is a plus
- Detail-oriented and able to work under tight deadlines and pressure.
- Able to work independently and multi-task
- Proven problem-solving skills
- Proficiency with MS Office products, particularly MS Project, Excel, MS PowerPoint
- Good command of English in both verbal and written communication
