**BRITISH UNIVERSITY VIETNAM (BUV)**:
British University Vietnam (BUV) is the first and only international university in Vietnam to directly award British degrees from the prestigious University of London and Staffordshire University. Established in 2009, BUV provides teaching for undergraduate and graduate programmes. Employability rates for students are exceptionally high with 100% of graduates from BUV either employed or continuing higher education within 3 months after graduation.

**POSITION PURPOSE**:
The Senior Communications Officer will play a crucial role in developing and implementing comprehensive communications strategies for British University Vietnam (BUV). This position is responsible for managing both external and internal communications, ensuring consistent messaging across all platforms, and maintaining the university’s reputation as Vietnam’s premier British education institution. The role will lead communications initiatives that support BUV’s strategic objectives, enhance stakeholder engagement, and strengthen the university’s brand position in the higher education sector.

**AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY**:

- Develop and execute comprehensive communication strategies aligned with BUV’s strategic goals and brand positioning
- Lead the planning, creation, and distribution of high-quality content across multiple channels (digital, print, and social media)
- Collaborate with various departments to gather content and ensure consistent messaging across all university communications
- Manage internal communications to ensure effective information flow within the organization and strengthen staff engagement
- Oversee media relations, including press release development, media pitch preparation, and relationship building with key media contacts
- Monitor and analyze communication effectiveness through various metrics and prepare regular performance reports
- Support senior management in strategic communications materials

**POSITION SPECIFICATIONS**:

- Essential_
- Great English proficiency in reading, writing, speaking, listening
- Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Communications, Marketing, Economics, Finance, or related field
- Minimum 3 years of experience in communications, public relations, or related field
- Strong internal communications skill, project management skills
- Excellent writing, editing, and presentation skills
- Proficient in digital communication tools and social media management
- Desirable_
- Master’s degree in Communications, Marketing, or related field
- Experience in internal communications within large organizations/FDI companies/international organizations
- Previous experience in education sector communications
- Knowledge of Vietnamese higher education landscape
- Experience with multimedia content creation
- Possessing photography/designing skills is an advantage
