CQC is headquartered in Washington DC, USA, with subsidiaries in India, Malaysia, Singapore, Cambodia and Australia and operations in over 20 countries across Sub-Saharan Africa, Central America, and South and Southeast Asia. We currently have c. 300 employees and over 1,000 contracted staff serving our clients and investors.

**Background**:
CQC is rapidly expanding its investment in cleaner cooking services across its core geographies. In Southeast Asia we have launched a 1 million household five-year investment across Laos, Cambodia, Thailand, and Vietnam. CQC is attempting to improve the behavior of households that cook using solid fuels, such as firewood with open fires or traditional stoves as the smoke from solid fuels contributes to high levels of household air pollution, which can lead to a number of deadly diseases. lt also puts pressure on local natural resources such as forests and wooded lands which supply the firewood. ln order to help address these challenges, the introduction of improved cookstoves under the project, will reduce the consumption of non-renewable biomass compared to the baseline stove (tripod or three-stone cooking fires), and thus reduce CO2 emissions in addition, contribute to improved health outcomes for the local population as well as reduce greenhouse gas emissions from cooking.

**Core Tasks**:
The Program Support Officer reports to the CQC Country Manager - Vietnam and works closely with implementing partner and local stakeholders in Laos. They will be primarily responsible for coordinating and facilitating the CQC project implementation in Laos to accelerate carbon transformation activity, including:

- Onsite oversight of project as per SOP (Standard Operating Procedure)
- Coordinate with local stakeholders/implementing partners to develop pre-distribution, distribution and post-distribution activities.
- Facilitate the implementation and sensitize the awareness of the target community.
- Train the third parties (as required) on project guidelines/ SOPs.
- Conduct the Monitoring and Verification (M&V) survey, follow-up visits to households and spot check to monitor and enhance the quality of the action on the groundwork and ensure that it is in line with CQC Standard protocol.
- Build a robust and trustworthy relationship with local stakeholders and the target community to ensure long-term and mutually beneficial partnerships.
- Scout the fieldwork for data cleaning to ensure the high quality and accuracy of data.
- Manage and analyze large data sets of registrations and surveys.
- Prepare written reports and presentations to keep track of fieldwork.

**Location**: Vietnam

**Travel**:The Program Support Officer will be required to travel frequently to project sites located in remote areas in Vietnam (up to 15-20 days a month). The Program Support Officer is also expected to travel on an as-needed short-notice timeline.

**Qualifications or specialized knowledge/experience required**:

- Proven work experience in community development, project management, capacity building and building and facilitating relationships for rural and/or urban development programs.
- Bachelor's degree preferably focused on sciences, health, energy, environment, climate change, social science, gender and development, international development with a minimum of 2 years of working experience.
