In this role you will act as a business partner, supporting operations in the Philippines, Thailand, and Vietnam. This entails close collaboration with the Country Managers/MD and functional Finance team in the region.

You will offer financial expertise and operational guidance to support Country Managers as a collaborative partner in attaining targeted financial outcomes. This involves facilitating the achievement of short
- and long-term revenue and profit targets through compliant business practices, and actively identifying and addressing critical business issues and opportunities.

In addition, you will lead the team in delivering reliable financial services to the business and provide advice on business growth from a financial perspective.

**What you will do**:
Commercial Exposure:

- Actively identifying and evaluating deal opportunities in collaboration with the Country General Managers (GMs). The role will provide comprehensive deal support and assist in developing business cases to facilitate informed decision-making.
- As a Subject Matter Expert for local processes, for both the Finance function and MDs/GMs in country level to in business decision making both commercial and financial aspect. Provide a financial lens to critical decisions that will have long term impact on our business model.
- Financial Planning, Management & Reporting:_
- Drive the budgetary planning and cost management for respective countries in alignment with Sony Music global processes.
- Deliver performance against internal targets and external best practice, making timely interventions at appropriate times, and drive accuracy in revenue and cost forecasting.
- Manage affiliates' performance scorecards. Support the forecasting and performance reports to key stakeholders based on one integrated set of data. Managed the monthly reporting and relationships with Regional Finance.
- Operational Excellence & Financial Control:_
- Operational excellence and understanding of the competitive environment across the business
- Ensure proper accounting and reliable financial statements (P&L, BS, Cash Flow) in line with local requirements / IFRS
- Timely royalty processing and clearing of backlog
- Statutory audit - liaison with the auditor
- Internal controls - ensure proper controls in place
- Tax compliance & the tax reporting requirement by SME Group
- Ensure cash flow is appropriate for our operations
- Ensure control and governance requirements are met with full compliance with Sony Music Company, regulatory and statutory requirements
- Risk & Cost Management:_
- In charge of affiliates cost control, registration and payment of overheads and operational expenses incl. headcount management
- Accountable for the forecasting, book close, payroll and expense process
- Actively safeguard our finances and perform risk management by analyzing Sony Music's liabilities and investments
- Business Partner:_
- Overview of all financial and commercial agreements incl. TOAs, deal memos, lease agreements Directorship and representation in respective countries, as applicable
- Be the finance advisor to GMs and Dept Heads, including preparing the project P&L and finance analysis
- Supervision and coaching of the team members
- Work on various projects initiated and conducted by Regional office and/or SME HQ
- Additional value-added initiatives or ad hoc projects

- Solid experience in a SME to large international organization within the region, Holding a key role as a valued partner of a regional Finance team.
- You excel in acting as a strategic business partner for the matrix organization.
- A proven track record demonstrating both Finance and commercial acumen and leadership, enabling you to identify risks and opportunities within financial data including FP&A engagements.
- Capabilities:_
- Functional finance expertise: Experience of financial management, planning and analysis, reporting and business planning with strong strategic, analytical and finance skills.
- Leadership: Managerial skills to builds and leads high performing, resilient and diverse teams.
- Finance Processes Transformation/Optimization: Demonstrated expertise in transforming and optimizing finance processes to enhance operational efficiency, streamline workflows, and improve overall financial performance.
- Team Management/Development: Extensive experience in team management and development, nurturing talent, and fostering a collaborative and supportive work culture.
- Relationship management: Build trusting and long-lasting relationships with artists and their ecosystem, as well as with external and internal stakeholders; creating a network of connections and building credibility and rapport at all levels of the business.

- MBA in Finance or Accounting is preferred but not a must
