To support Vietnam in meeting its Net-Zero commitment in COP26 and minimize impacts of climate change, we are looking for a passionate Environment and Consent Manager to join our team of industry experts to support the development of offshore wind projects in Vietnam. This role will be based in our office in Hanoi, Vietnam on a local contract.

As our new Environment and Consent Manager, you will take the lead on consenting activities on our projects in Vietnam and managing associated consultants undertaking Environmental Assessment work and other permitting/consents works to allow for the various phases of development, construction, and operation of our offshore wind pipeline in Vietnam. You will report to the local Project Development Manager and have the opportunity for knowledge sharing within a global community of consent managers across COP markets.

**You will support initiatives including**:
Own the end-to-end consenting process to develop, construct and operate offshore wind assets, in close cooperation with the commercial and technical team
Manage external contractors working on both the international standard ESIA, and the local standard EIA to ensure sufficient progress, quality, and timely deliverables
Ensure HSE requirements within contracts follow COP requirements, and can be appropriately bridged by linking the supplier with COP’s H&S team and delivering guidance and expectation to contractors
Lead the development and implementation of consenting strategy and program
Manage the compliance of consent and lease obligations prior to and throughout the lifetime of the offshore wind farm
Lead DEVEX, CAPEX and OPEX (budgetary) inputs in relation to consents and leases
Manage internal and external stakeholders including the project team, consultants, contractors, investors, lenders, regulators, landowners, non-governmental organizations, public and other developers
Perform project management duties including reporting, budget, quality, and team management

**Your key objectives are**:
Minimum 5 years related professional work experience
Passionate about renewable energy, with a strong interest to learn about the offshore wind industry
Experience in consenting roles, and a highly competent coordinator and communicator in which you have demonstrated strong project management and/or leadership capabilities
Extensive governmental and/or industry experience with an interest in large and complex infrastructure projects
A solid understanding of major infrastructure project requirements in Vietnam, and the associated environmental sensitivities that need to be considered
Experience working collaboratively with Vietnamese governmental stakeholders in both local and national level
Experience working for or within Vietnam’s energy sector (ideally renewable) and with large foreign corporations highly desirable
Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to interface effectively with local authorities, ministries, and community
Ability to work independently on own initiative as well as being a good team player with an entrepreneurial mindset - proactive and supportive attitudes
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills in Vietnamese and English
