BASIC FUNCTION:
The Sales Manager, Leisure & MICE will bring strong business to the Hotel through sourcing, negotiating and winning Leisure and MICE Sales Accounts to generate effective revenue.

The Sales Manager will be required to conduct their duties in a courteous, safe and efficient manner, in accordance with the hotel’s policies and procedures, ensuring that a high level of service is maintained.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Anticipate guest’s needs through observation and offer prompt, efficient service either personally or through effective communication with other associates.
- Align working practices and conduct with Sheraton Saigon Hotel & Towers’ Vision; consistently strive to meet and exceed the expectations of both internal and external guests.
- Uphold the Company’s Cares culture by demonstrating the Star Service Standards at all times to guests and fellow associates.
- Align management style, working practices and conduct with Sheraton Saigon Hotel &Tower’s Vision, Corporate Values and policies. To comply with Sheraton’s Code of Conduct at all times.
- Completely understand, implement and ensure adherence to Local Labor Laws and Sheraton policies.
- Be well versed and knowledgeable of Sheraton Fire and Evacuation procedures as well as health and safety requirements in the Workplace. Ensure associates are aware of their duty of care as determined by legislation and that they maintain complete familiarity.
- Undertake additional duties as requested by the Department Manager and Hotel Management.
- Be responsible for designated account base.
- Establish list of Leisure & MICE accounts with potential for the Sheraton Saigon Hotel & Towers
- Develop an effective Leisure & MICE market sales and Promotional action Plan
- Evaluate and organize appropriate sales trips to develop potential markets
- Establish a regular core pattern for meeting with principals of target markets
- Plan and execute a series of familiarization tours for travel agents, airline staff, tour operators, incentive organizers and other industry personnel
- Develop and refine a comprehensive mailing list for the above mentioned
- Develop and maintain contact with the above mentioned
- Maintain competitor analysis by reviewing Leisure & MICE brochures within target markets
- Maintain allotment system, working closely with reservations to monitor materialization.
- Liaise with Leisure & MICE accounts each quarter to review materialization of allotments
- Establish value add package options for low season Leisure & MICE brochuring
- Ensure all Leisure & MICE accounts have updated photography and information for yearly brochures
- Complete information sheets on yearly basis for clients as requested
- Hunt for series business to fill low season periods
- Manage brochure contribution commitments, ensuring accounts have appropriate purchase requests
- Ensure all opportunities to build revenue from w/sale accounts is considered including catering opportunities and restaurant opportunities
- Assist in maintaining a strong team performance
- Maintain regular contact with the Sheraton Sales Offices with quarterly updates to Global account Managers of Leisure & MICE accounts.
- Assist in developing and implementation direct mail campaigns
- Forecast, analyze and report Sales and Profit results in the Leisure & MICE market segment
- Input all data in ISAC system for appropriate account management follow up and tracing.
- Ensure attendance at training, ensure you practice team spirit with new staff, orienting them as they arrive to the department
- Demonstrate working knowledge of all tasks within your area of responsibility
- Identify operational human resource requirements and report to the Department Head
- Monitor guest / clients services and operational requirements in order to identify short falls in the operation
- Take part in all opportunities for quality team building
- Participate actively in the regular sales meeting to keep staff and management informed and to foster two-way communication
- Communicate corporate initiatives to associates
- Involve management in aspects of decision making for your accounts by participating actively in all meetings
- Display creativity and initiative
- Co-operate with other sections and departments
- Set joint objectives and goals with DOSM within appropriate time frames and measure performance against objectives
- Initiate action to correct a hazardous situation immediately it occurs are notify staff of potential danger
- Ensure that all equipment is functioning and serviced regularly
- Encourage associates to notify any equipment or lighting failure immediately to expedite repairs / replacement
