**I. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILTIES**

**1. Relationships Development**:
- Work collaboratively with off-hotel sales channels to ensure sales efforts are coordinated, complementary and not duplicative.
- Build and strengthen relationships with existing and new Japan customers to enable future bookings. Activities include sales calls, entertainment, FAM trips, trade shows, etc.
- Develop relationships within the Japan community to strengthen and expand customer base for business opportunities.
**2. Managing Sales Activities**:
- Participate in sales calls with members of sales team to acquire new business and/or close on business from the Japan business segment.
- Execute and support the operational aspects of business booked (e.g., generating proposal, writing contract, customer correspondence).
- Perform any other duties assigned by DOSM to maximize hotel revenue.
**3. Explore and update about Market Trends and Target Customer**
**Information to Maximize Revenue**
- Identify new business to achieve personal and location revenue goals.
- Understand the overall Japan market - competitors' strengths and weaknesses, economic trends, supply and demand etc. and knows how to sell against them.
- Close the best opportunities for the location based on market conditions and location needs.
- Gain understanding of the location's primary target customer and service expectations; serve the customer by understanding their business, business issues and concerns, to offer better business solution.
**4. Providing Exceptional Customer Service**:
- Support the company's service and relationship strategy, driving customer loyalty by delivering service excellence throughout each customer experience.
- Service our Japan customers in order to grow share of the account.
- Execute and support the company's customer service standards.
- Provide excellent customer service consistent with the daily service basics of the company.
- Set a positive example for guest relations.
- Interact with Japan guests to obtain feedback on product quality and service levels.
**II. QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS**
1. 2-year experience as an Assistant Sales Manager in high volume luxury hotels and resorts or equivalent.
2. Proven experience with developing sales goals and objectives.
3. Proven ability to drive the sales process from plan to close.
4. Strong business sense and industry expertise.
5. Willingness to travel.
