VinUniversity is seeking an entrepreneurial professional to join our team as Corporate Engagement & Career Services Manager.

The post-holder will focus on promoting and developing positive relationships between VinUniversity and local and international industry partners to provide a wide variety of opportunities including internships, professional development, and graduate employment for VinUni as well as corporate attachment for VinUni faculty members.


This is a unique and exciting opportunity and would suit someone with previous experience in career support, international collaboration, recruitment or business development.


POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

Corporate Engagement activities:

  • Establish, develop, and maintain mutually beneficial relationships with leading domestic and international employers to create internships, professional development, and job opportunities for VinUni students.
  • Negotiate and arrange agreements with corporate partners. Be the main point of contact with those partners.
  • Take the leading role in identifying potential opportunities for business development, training, research and collaboration to provide VinUni students, faculty, and staff with opportunities to engage in guest lectures, seminars, workshops, mentoring, scholarships, sponsorships, job fairs, and networking events.
  • Work closely with VinUni Colleges to understand Collegespecific needs and identify potential collaborations with industry partners based on the needs and requests.
  • Plan and coorganize all corporate engagement related events and programs such as Career Fair, networking events, speaker talks, etc. in collaboration with other departments within VinUni.
  • Contribute and provide insights for the corporate engagement strategy of different colleges and university as a whole.
  • Maintain good record keeping and data filing. Ensure accurate and timely update of database. Prepare reports and presentations from time to time.

Career Services activities:

  • Establish programs, services, policies, procedures, and priorities to ensure the effective functioning of Career Services.
  • Provide strategic leadership for the accomplishment of designated career services initiatives and goals.
  • Advocate for resources for Universitywide career services and lead efforts to educate VinUni community about the career development needs of students.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure the delivery of quality services across all areas of Career Services.
  • Represent Career Services to all constituents, including but not limited to faculty, staff, students, alumni, employers, professional associations, and visiting guests.
  • Other duties as assigned by management.

COMPENSATIONS

KEY SELECTION CRITERIA

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Master's degree from a reputable university.
  • Overseas education in an English speaking country is desired but not required.
  • At least 07 year working experience in a reputed corporate setting, an international organization or an academic institution with a proven record of professional success and working successfully with multiple stakeholders.
  • Good understanding of approaches to corporate engagement practices. Have a wide network of industry people. Good knowledge of trends across diverse industry sectors.
  • Demonstrate a genuine passion for contributing to develop a worldclass education in Vietnam.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

  • Highly developed communication skills including; welldeveloped interpersonal, negotiation, networking skills and coordination. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, both in English and Vietnamese.
  • Good time management skills, resilience, ability to multitask effectively and work under pressure to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to provide exemplary account management and services with a wide variety of stakeholders including employers, College representatives, students, and staff.
  • Demonstrate a genuine passion for contributing to develop a worldclass education in Vietnam and continuously improving student experience and graduate employability.
