Construction Manager, Retail Chain

Plan and manage the construction and renovation projects for retail stores from conception to completion.

  • Develop project schedules, budgets, and resource plans to ensure timely and costeffective project delivery.
  • Collaborate with architects, engineers, and contractors to develop and review construction drawings, specifications, and designs.
  • Obtain necessary permits and approvals from relevant authorities for construction activities.
  • Source and negotiate with vendors, suppliers, and subcontractors to procure materials, equipment, and services required for the projects.
  • Coordinate and supervise construction activities, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, building codes, and company standards.
  • Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, address issues, and provide guidance to the construction teams.
  • Manage project budgets, track expenses, and make necessary adjustments to ensure financial objectives are met.
  • Resolve any constructionrelated problems or conflicts that may arise during the project lifecycle.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, such as Store Operations and Visual Merchandising, to ensure store design and layout meet functional and aesthetic requirements.
  • Maintain documentation, records, and reports related to construction projects.
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field. Proven experience as a Construction Manager, preferably in the retail industry or commercial construction. Experience in retail chains with 100+ stores is an advantage. Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and building codes. Familiarity with project management principles and practices. Excellent organizational and time management skills to handle multiple projects simultaneously. Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, blueprints, and specifications. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with various stakeholders effectively. Leadership abilities to manage and motivate construction teams. Proficiency in using construction management software and tools. Knowledge of safety regulations and ability to enforce compliance on construction sites. Flexibility to travel and work at different project locations as required.
