What you will be doing:

This role will report to the Head of Technology but will be highly autonomous.

The following are the key responsibilities and duties:

  • Carry out business development plan and discuss strategy and delivery with management.
  • Develop relationships with new clients.
  • Leading on proposals and supporting on business development and representing OWC.
  • Securing new work for OWC.
  • Delivering projects to a high standard to ensure the utmost satisfaction of our clients and an outstanding quality of deliverable.
  • Managing project key performance indicators including budgets.
  • Managing project teams to ensure optimal delivery of projects.
  • Support in the positive development of our people through mentoring, training, etc.
  • Develop OWC's suite of renewables products to lead in new markets and new (associated) technologies, building new systems through R&D to give OWC a competitive advantage.
  • Collaborate with, support, and evolve with other businesses, teams and staff in the OWC Group, networking at all levels within the company, as well as with external bodies and acting as a representative of OWC at industry conferences, seminars, events, etc.
  • Ensure that projects operate in accordance with OWC's high health, safety and environmental policies and procedures to guarantee the safety and wellbeing of staff, subcontractors and any other third parties who may be impacted by our work.
  • Ensure project work and technical quality standards are maintained.
This role is based in Ho Chi Minh City and operates on a hybrid work model. Please note that travel to other OWC APAC offices may be required

What we are looking for:

In addition, the following qualifications and skills are required:

  • A Bachelor's or Master's degree in engineering or any relevant discipline. Chartered Engineer status or working towards it is advantageous.
  • 5+ years of professional experience and passion for onshore wind/ solar/ energy storage.
  • A successful track record of project management and handling multidisciplinary teams.
  • Strong technology knowledge including markets, players, technology, warranties, etc.
  • Excellent communication and reportwriting skills.
  • Proficiency in Vietnamese and English. Multilinguistic is a plus.

The following experience is considered desirable:

  • Experience in consulting and client management.
  • Experience as an Independent Engineer and/or Owner's Engineer.
  • Experience acting as a team leader.
  • Experience on other sides of a project (developer, owner, financier, etc.).
  • Knowledge of financing and regulatory mechanisms for renewables.
