  • Ensure assigned team sales target and operating objectives is met in alignment with overall Company sales and profitability objectives.
  • Recruits and hires qualified team members, and support staff to meet the management of partners, dealers and other support requirements.
  • Trains and develops all staff on both sales and nonsales areas. Contributes to the longterm growth and development of sales staff.
  • Manages a team for productivity and profitability: manages performance of sales staff to ensure that high performance expectations are set and communicated; results are monitored; and high performance standards are maintained and regularly adhered to. Conducts appraisals on direct reports.
  • Ensures that "best practices" are being executed across all functions to encourage the highest quality producer relations.
  • Conducts regular field work to keep abreast of local market conditions, industry changes and competitive activities that may impact sales; informs management as needed. Provides market knowledge and direction to producers and sales team.
  • Collaborates with internal departments to ensure sales process is efficient and effective
  • Submits accurate and timely reports as required or requested.

JOB RESULTS:

  • Achieves and/or exceeds assigned target premium.
  • Sets objectives and development activities for each team member.
  • Ensures customers are satisfied with the company's service by resolving escalated customer issues.
  • Prospects for and maintains relationships with partners (banks, dealerships, etc.)
  • Balances and stays within the budget.

III. PREPARATION, TRAINING & EXPERIENCE

  • Indepth knowledge of producer management and substantial experience in insurance marketing, agency relations and management.
  • Complete product knowledge of all forms of general insurance.
  • A thorough knowledge of selling skills and the personal ability to sell. Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Computer literacy, high level of analytical ability and problem solving skills.
  • Excellent judgment and leadership skills. Demonstrated ability to build teams and supportive of internal and external relationships.
