Chief Accountant

Our client, a leading company in the IT industry, is currently seeking a Chief Accountant with the following requirements:

Working Hours:
8:30–17:30, Monday to Friday

Job Description

1. Advisory & Accounting System Development

• Draft and propose financial management policies and internal spending regulations.
• Develop workflows, operational templates, accounting processes, settlement procedures, and reporting standards.
• Recommend organizational structure for the Accounting Department.

2. Accounting Operations Management

• Implement decisions from top management, functional leaders, and the Chief Accountant/CFO (as assigned).
• Direct and supervise professional activities within the Accounting Department.
• Update and apply legal regulations related to accounting and finance.

3. Execution of Accounting Transactions

• Receive, review, reconcile, and balance financial data; detect discrepancies and provide corrective guidance.
• Analyze accounting data and recommend solutions for management and financial decision-making.
• Process accounting information in accordance with standards and regulations.
• Review monthly tax declarations, monthly/annual financial statements, and annual tax finalization files.
• Approve accounting reports, statistical reports, credit documents, and payment-related paperwork (as assigned).

4. Financial & Accounting Reporting

• Prepare standalone/consolidated financial statements, including P&L and Balance Sheet (periodic and ad-hoc), with full explanations.
• Direct data provision, document storage, and confidentiality.
• Provide information as required by management and government authorities.

5. Inspection & Supervision

• Monitor revenue–expense activities, financial obligations, debt payments, asset management, overdue/debt recovery, and slow-moving inventory.
• Identify and prevent violations in financial and accounting activities.
• Participate in internal audits and inspections upon request.

6. Team Development

• Motivate, build, and develop the accounting team.
• Assess staff performance.
• Contribute to building team and departmental culture.

7. Other Responsibilities Assigned by the Board of Directors

• Provide strategic direction for developing accounting–finance–management software.
• Organize tax finalization and tax refund procedures every 2–3 years.
• Build and maintain relationships with government agencies: Ministry of Finance, Tax Authorities, Statistics Office, Auditors, Banks, Insurance, etc.
• Coordinate cross-functional tasks between departments.
• Contribute to corporate culture initiatives.
• Perform other tasks assigned by upper management.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Accounting or Auditing.
• Professional English: able to read and understand technical documents.
• Good English communication skills.
• Knowledge of Chinese/Japanese/Korean is a plus.
• CPA or ACCA certification is preferred.
• Minimum 3 years of experience as Chief Accountant in a company with at least 300 employees.
• Prefer candidates with experience in multinational, multi-industry companies or corporate group models.
• Strong team-building and L&D capabilities.
• Able to inspire and engage employees.
• Strong organizational and execution skills.
