Overview of the role
To excel in this role, the candidate should be an active listener, have a compelling sales personality, and a hunger to chase and close new business from any source.
- (S)He is single-mindedly tasked with securing new clients for the agency. (S)He will achieve this through first having competent understanding of the agency's capabilities and strengths and seeking out clients that have best fit for the solutions our agency offer.
- (S)He will be a natural networker with high EQ who can build sincere, authentic relationships with prospective clients.
- (S)He will be able to identify quickly and precisely the marketing issues that prospects need help with and bridge these with our agency team(s) who will develop compelling and relevant solutions for the prospect.
- (S)He will be recognized as the key person infusing client portfolio expansion in the agency.
Job Description
- Be resourceful in researching organizations and individuals to find new possible opportunities;
- Develop a pipeline of prospects;
- Convert prospects into clients;
- Build strong, authentic relationships with prospects;
- Understand competently our agency's offerings and can recommend them as solutions to prospects;
- Identify addressable marketing issues of the prospect and which agency team would be best positioned to provide the prospect solutions;
- Run a dual role of being an advocate for the agency and the client - understanding their business, their objectives and help smoothen the engagement process between Agency teams and client;
- Know a client's industry, nuances, and priorities and apply them to the brief and explain it to the agency team;
- Understand and contribute substantially to each type of project by anticipating the prospects' needs and be their partner from first contact to first contract;
- Lead internal projects that benefit business development and marketing initiatives;
- Recommend business development process improvements and help put them into practice.
Job Requirements
What you must have
- 3-4 years of experience performing as Business Development or Account role;
- Professional experience with marketing or advertising agency - must understand agency life OR have worked in an advertising agency for at least 2 years;
- Having experience to work at a media booking agency/OOH agency is advantage;
- Positive thinking;
- Experience and demonstrated success in client relationship management;
- Working subject matter competence in at least a few of the subject matter areas: Digital Marketing, Digital Media, Social, Creative, PR, Content;
- Up-to-date knowledge of digital marketing trends and solutions, relevant consumer research studies;
- Excitement about taking on revenue accountability and responsibility;
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, including presentations;
- High competency in MS Office.
