Job Summary

We are seeking a highly driven and strategic Business Development Manager to serve as our foundational sales leader and drive our go-to-market (GTM) efforts. In this pivotal role, you will own the entire sales cycle, from identifying new market opportunities to closing strategic deals. You are a "builder" with a proven track record of not only executing GTM plans but also creating the processes and infrastructure needed to scale a sale function from the ground up. You will work closely with our Product Marketing Manager (PMM) to build a cohesive GTM strategy and will be responsible for turning our vision into a repeatable, revenue-generating reality.

Key Responsibilities

  • Full Sales Cycle Ownership.
    Proactively identify and generate new leads, build a robust sales pipeline and manage the end-to-end sales process, from initial contact to negotiation and deal closure.
  • GTM strategy and execution.
    Develop and implement a comprehensive GTM strategy to expand our market presence and drive revenue. This includes identifying target markets, defining sales channels, and setting clear, measurable goals.
  • Market Research and Analysis.
    Conduct in-depth market research to identify new business opportunities, stay ahead of industry trends and analyze competitor activities.
  • Lead Generation and Sales.
    Proactively identify and generate new leads, build a strong sales pipeline and manage the end-to-end sales cycle, from initial contact to deal closure.
  • Partnerships and Alliances.
    Forge and nurture strategic partnerships and alliances that create new revenue streams and enhance our market position.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration.
    Work closely with the Product Marketing Manager to ensure a cohesive and effective GTM strategy. Provide clear, data-driven feedback to the product and engineering teams to inform the product roadmap
  • Negotiation and Contracts.
    Lead negotiations with potential clients and partners, drafting and finalizing contracthat are mutually beneficial and align with our business objectives.
  • Reporting and Forecasting.
    Develop and present regular reports on sales performance, market insights, and business development initiatives to key stakeholders and management.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Proven experience as a Business Development Manager, Sales Manager or a similar role with a track record of successfully executing GTM strategies.
  • Exceptional strategic thinking combined with a hands-on, tactical execution focus.
  • A "builder" and "process-oriented" mindset – comfortable with ambiguity and excited to create and document processes from the ground up.
  • Strong negotiation, sales and relationship-building skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex business concepts clearly and persuasively.
  • Highly organized, proactive, and capable of managing multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • A self-starter who thrives on autonomy and accountability, with a demonstrated ability to succeed without direct managerial oversight.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Fluency in English.
