The Tech PMO governs and optimizes all technology vendor spend across Grab Tech. We partner closely with Engineering, Finance, Procurement, and Leadership to ensure disciplined budget planning, accurate forecasting, rigorous cost governance, and strategic reallocation of technology spend. As our vendor landscape grows in scale and complexity, we are investing in strengthening our financial analysis and modeling capabilities to ensure responsible, data-driven cost management.

Get to Know the Role

We are looking for a Senior Technology Financial Analyst to serve as the financial backbone of the Tech PMO, reporting to the Senior Principal Technology Strategist and work onsite in Grab HCMC Office (Mapletree Business Centre).

You will build and maintain our financial models, managing rolling forecasts, ensuring the accuracy of vendor spend data, and providing direction with the insights needed to make effective cost decisions. You will sit at the intersection of Finance and Technology and plays a critical part in how Grab optimizes millions in annual vendor spend.

The Critical Tasks You Will Perform

1. Budget Planning & Forecasting

• Lead bottom-up and rolling forecasts for all technology vendor spend.
• Provide early alerts to PMO leadership on overspend, underspend, and financial exposure.
• Partner with Finance to align forecast outputs with corporate planning cycles.

2. Spend Visibility & Single Source of Truth

• Reconcile financial data across Finance, Procurement, and Engineering systems.
• Maintain accurate, real-time dashboards and spend tracking reports.

3. Cost Governance & Decision Support

• Support cost governance reviews by providing Return on investment analysis, contract modeling, and spend justification guidance.
• Evaluate renewal proposals, underutilized tools, overlapping services, and cost-saving opportunities.

4. Portfolio Optimization & Scenario Modeling

• Conduct scenario analyses to guide budget reallocation decisions.
• Model tradeoffs across teams and projects to support investment prioritization.
• Analyze cost efficiency metrics and benchmark Grab's vendor spending against industry patterns.

What Essential Skills You Will Need

• 5+ years of experience in Finance, FP&A, Business Partnering, or similar roles.
• Financial modeling skills (forecasting, scenario analysis, variance analysis).
• Experience working with vendor contracts, cost drivers, or technology spend.
• Proficiency with spreadsheets (Excel/Sheets) and financial reporting tools; SQL is a bonus.
• Reconcile and validate data from multiple systems with high accuracy.
• Experience preparing memos that translate financial analysis into actionable insights
• Experience working in a Technology, or Procurement-heavy environment.
• Understanding of cloud/infra spend, SaaS contracts, or tech vendor ecosystems.
