Get to Know the Team

We are dedicated to providing high-quality Amazon Machine Images (AMI) and Container Image for the entire company. We also offer a platform that allows other engineering teams to customize their AMIs and build Container Image, ensuring they meet industry best practices such as CIS hardening, in a convenient and scalable fashion.

Get to Know the Role

We are looking for a senior engineer to automate management of cloud infrastructure and developer tooling. We believe you have experience with one or more cloud environments, knowledge of DevOps concepts and practices, scripting/coding ability and experience working in platform or CI/CD teams delivering functionality to developers, but if you believe you have what it takes then we'd love to hear from you. This role is required because we have a large developer community, hence require efficient tools and automation. In return, you will expand your skills into several different areas - from systems administration, integration with vendor systems, cloud automation and security, SRE and more. This role will be based either in HCMC or Hanoi

The Critical Tasks You Will Perform

• You automate common cloud and platform operations, focusing on AMI and Container Image
• You support Grab developer community, always with a view to self-service and automation
• You are involved in the design and implementation of building the best quality AMI and Container Image for Grab's engineering and managing usage across the whole organization, following industry best practices.
• You always have security mindset and ensure everything you perform to meet the security guardrails and standards
• You provide excellent technical solutions for the whole organization, from end to end, including designing, implementation, rolling out, etc.
• You lead and mentor junior engineers, moving, not only you, but also the whole team forward

What Essential Skills You Will Need

• You have ownership of both your own project and team's product. Work toward the best, and to improve day by day.
• You have experience with one or more cloud environments (AWS or other cloud providers)
• You are an experienced DevOps or DevSecOps practitioner, and have operated production services in cloud environments
• You have experience with build and deploy tooling (e.g., Gitlab, Jenkins, and Docker)
• You have experience with automation for infrastructure and configuration deployment /management tools - Terraform, Ansible, or similar
• You are proficient in Linux system administration and command-line tools
• You are excited to learn and apply new technologies
• You have experience with microservice architectures
• You have experience with container orchestration platform - K8S, EKS, ECS or similar
• You are proficient in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash)
