About the Role

The Procurement Specialist will be responsible for overseeing the Retail function's end-to-end procurement operations, from sourcing and contracting with suppliers, securing the right price and delivery timeline, and optimizing costs while maintaining quality, to managing vendors and ensuring all materials and supplies are delivered on time.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Procurement Execution

  2. Handle all purchasing operations for retail consumables, equipment, and fixtures.

  3. Source and compare quotations, review supplier proposals, and ensure compliance with internal requirements.
  4. Prepare and issue purchase orders, confirm orders, and follow up until successful delivery.
  5. Coordinate with different teams to verify received goods and ensure proper documentation.
  6. Manage any delivery delays, quantity discrepancies, or product quality issues with suppliers.

2. Supplier & Contract Management

  • Maintain relationships with approved suppliers and act as main contact for day-to-day coordination.
  • Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules to achieve cost efficiency without compromising quality.
  • Keep supplier records updated, including contracts, certificates, and performance evaluations.

3. Cost & Quality Control

  • Track and analyze purchasing costs, ensuring all buys are within budget and approval limits.
  • Identify potential cost reduction opportunities through negotiation or supplier consolidation.

Requirements

Experience

  • Minimum 4–6 years of experience in procurement, preferably in retail, pharmacy, or FMCG.
  • Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
  • Proven attention to detail and follow-through under tight timelines.
