QA/QC Engineer

AINAVIO is a startup providing an all-in-one cloud solution for the e-commerce industry to gather, enrich, and distribute product content at scale. We are using AI and workflow automation to help our clients improve their product information management. As a spinoff of a consulting company, we already have a large e-commerce company as our client and are financially backed to get our product to the next level.

We're looking for a skilled QA/QA Engineer to ensure the quality and stability of our API-driven microservices applications. In this role, you'll combine automated API testing with manual end-user testing to verify that our system behaves as expected from both a technical and user perspective. Our platform is built on Azure, with limited use of AWS and GCP.

YOUR EXCITING TASKS

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts for API testing using Playwright
• Perform manual testing from an end-user perspective to validate real-world scenarios and usability
• Collaborate closely with developers, DevOps, and product teams to test features in an Azure-based microservices architecture
• Verify API contracts, request/response data, error handling, and performance characteristics
• Utilize tools like Swagger/OpenAPI to analyze and understand API specifications
• Execute functional, regression, integration, and exploratory tests across both backend services and UI components
• Log, track, and help triage defects using systems like Jira, and assist in root cause analysis
• Participate in scrum ceremonies (daily standups, sprint planning, retrospectives), contributing to test effort estimation
• Maintain and update test documentation, test plans, and reusable test data sets to ensure test repeatability and coverage

YOUR PROFILE AND YOUR PERSONALITY

• 3+ years of experience in QA, with strong focus on API test automation and some exposure to manual testing
• Solid understanding of RESTful APIs, HTTP methods, JSON, and common API patterns
• Hands-on experience with API testing tools like Playwright, Postman, RestAssured, SoapUI, Karate, etc
• Experience testing microservices architectures deployed on Azure (App Services, Azure
• Functions, API Management, etc.)
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or similar
• Understanding of manual testing principles, exploratory testing, and usability considerations.

Preferred Skills
UI Automation with Playwright:

• Proficient in building and maintaining browser tests using Playwright
• Familiar with handling dynamic components, modals, and async content
• Uses Page Object Model (POM) for scalable test structure
• Able to run tests headlessly and integrate with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Azure DevOps)

API Automation With Playwright

• Uses Playwright's APIRequestContext for RESTful API testing
• Handles authentication (e.g., JWT), status code validation, and response assertions
• Supports chained API calls and test data setup/cleanup
• Able to abstract reusable API utilities and fixtures

Additional Skills

• Test reporting with Allure or built-in Playwright reporters
• Experience working in Agile teams, using Jira, Git, and Swagger
• Familiarity with microservices testing challenges and Kubernetes is a plus
• Basic MongoDB and SQL knowledge for data validation and seeding data.
