Role Overview

As a Technical Writer, you will be a subject matter expert and a significant contributor, responsible for driving the quality, strategy, and execution of high-impact technical documentation projects.

• High-Quality Documentation Creation: Plan, develop, and maintain comprehensive technical documentation that improves product adoption, customer onboarding, and supports a satisfying user experience. This includes user manuals, release notes, tutorials, and advanced API/developer guides for Katalon's products, ensuring content transforms complex technical concepts into accessible information.
• Process and Standards Ownership: Follow documentation practices to maintain consistency and quality across all content. Proactive mindset to identify areas of improvement.
• Technical Research: Research and analyze technical topics, collaborating closely with engineers and product managers to ensure documentation is accurate, complete, and technically sound in your area of ownership.
• Information Architecture: Work with Subject Matter Experts to propose and implement improvements to navigation and structure of the documentation.
• Mentorship & Review: Provide peer review and constructive feedback to junior writers to maintain a high bar for quality and adherence to style guides.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with product, engineering, and UX teams to define impact and deliverables for documentation under tight release cycles and with multiple stakeholders.
• Project Management: Effectively collaborate on Jira and Confluence to plan, track, and record high-priority documentation tasks, ensuring timely delivery for product releases.
• Continuous Improvement: Research and correct documentation defects, driving continuous improvement in both the content and the technical solutions supporting the documentation function.
• AI adoption: Find and adopt AI tools judiciously and effectively as force multipliers throughout the documentation lifecycle. Strong advocate for effective AI tooling.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in technical writing, specializing in complex software product documentation.
• Exceptional command of English, with proven expertise in grammar, composition, and clear communication.
• A Bachelor's degree in English, Technical Writing, IT, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across technical and business teams. Thrives in unstructured, rapidly evolving product areas.
• Detail-oriented mindset, adaptable to changing requirements and new domains.
