II/ Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the Mechanical Engineering Department; assign tasks and monitor progress, quality, and performance of the engineering team.
• Oversee the design of core mechanical components including vehicle frames, plastic parts, sheet metal structures, and mechanical modules for electric vehicles.
• Review and approve 3D/2D drawings, BOMs, technical documents, and design changes before submitting to senior leadership.
• Develop and continuously improve design processes, technical standards, and review guidelines to ensure high-quality outputs.
• Propose technical solutions, initiate design improvements, and support troubleshooting during R&D and mass production stages.
• Collaborate with suppliers and manufacturing sites to optimize designs for tooling, fabrication, and large-scale production.
• Supervise prototype testing, evaluate durability, safety, functionality, and recommend appropriate design adjustments.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams (Industrial Design, Electrical–Control, Manufacturing, Quality) to ensure product consistency and alignment.
• Train, mentor, and develop engineering team members; foster a proactive, professional, and high-performance working culture.
• Report project progress, risks, and technical proposals directly to the Leadership/CEO; contribute to establishing the mechanical R&D roadmap.

III/ Candidate Requirements

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Mechanical Design, Automotive Engineering, or related fields.
• 4–7 years of experience in mechanical design, preferably with exposure to mass production projects.
• Proven experience in engineering team management or technical project leadership.
• Experience in working with suppliers, addressing production issues, and optimizing designs for manufacturability (DFM).

Skills & Attributes

• Proficiency in 3D design software such as SolidWorks, NX, or Catia.
• Strong understanding of frame structures, plastics, sheet metal, materials, and relevant manufacturing processes (tooling, stamping, welding, CNC machining, etc.).
• Strong planning, progress management, and risk assessment skills.
• Systems-thinking mindset, strong teamwork capability, high responsibility, and proactive working style.
