The Operations Director oversees the daily operations of Hotel Academy Vietnam, ensuring seamless coordination between academic delivery, student services, internal hotel operations, and facilities management. This role is critical in maintaining service excellence, operational efficiency, and a professional environment aligned with hospitality industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Academic Operations Support

Ensure classrooms, training kitchens, and practical facilities are fully operational and aligned with academic schedules.

Collaborate with Academic Dean and Trainers to support delivery of programs (hospitality, culinary arts, etc.).

Manage scheduling conflicts and resource allocations.

2. Hotel Operations Management (The HUB hotel)

Oversee the academy’s internal hotel operations, including front office, housekeeping, F&B, and maintenance.

Set and maintain operational SOPs to match real-world hotel standards.

Supervise the practical training service areas where students gain hands-on experience.

3. Student Services & Experience

Coordinate non-academic support services (housing, uniforms, meals, extracurricular activities).

Foster a guest-service mindset among students through modeling best practices.

Handle feedback, complaints, and incident reporting processes.

4. Facilities and Asset Management

Ensure all learning and operational facilities are safe, well-maintained, and properly equipped.

Manage vendors, contractors, and service providers.

5. Financial & Administrative Duties

Manage budgeting for operations-related costs (supplies, repairs, service contracts).

Monitor and control expenses according to approved budgets.

6. Team Management

Supervise operational staff (e.g., housekeeping attendants, maintenance staff, front desk officers).

Provide training and performance feedback to the operations team.

7. Facilitating Skills (Key Requirement)

Lead and facilitate operational meetings with internal teams and stakeholders.

Conduct briefings and debriefings for daily operations and special events.

Act as a trainer during cross-departmental coordination, ensuring clear communication and smooth execution.

Facilitate VET by EHL program, conduct workshops or training sessions on operational excellence, service standards, and teamwork for both staff and students.

8. Health, Safety & Compliance

Ensure adherence to health, safety, and hygiene standards.

Maintain compliance with educational and hospitality regulatory requirements.

**Yêu cầu bằng cấp (tối thiểu)**: Đại Học

**Yêu cầu công việc**:
Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Hotel Operations, or a related field

7+ years of experience in hotel operations at management role

Experience working in an educational setting is a plus

Passion for hospitality education

Strong operational and service management experience in hospitality/hotel environment

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Strong leadership and people management skills

Organizational and time management abilities

Problem-solving and decision-making skills

Facilitation skills: able to guide discussions, encourage participation, and drive team alignment

Familiarity with hospitality training or education environment is a strong advantage

Proficiency in English and Vietnamese
