**ABOUT THE ROLE**

The Managing Director of Operations will oversee and manage all non-academic operations, ensuring the seamless delivery of support functions across finance, marketing and admissions, human resources, legal and compliance, facilities management, and IT. This position plays a crucial role in supporting the school's mission and goals by providing strategic leadership and operational expertise. Reporting to the Head of School and coordinating closely with senior leaders, the Managing Director will contribute to the institution's long-term success by building effective processes and a positive school culture.

**OBJECTIVES**

The Managing Director of Operations will be responsible for implementing strategies to ensure efficient and compliant school operations. Success in this role will be measured by the achievement of financial targets, high operational standards, and positive engagement scores from staff, students, and parents. Key outcomes include meeting P&L goals, optimizing resource use, and maintaining a safe and well-supported school environment.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**

**Core Responsibilities**:

- Develop and execute operational plans that align with the school's mission and long-term vision.
- Oversee all financial processes, including budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and procurement, ensuring resources are allocated effectively.
- Lead the development of a strong admissions and marketing strategy in partnership with the Head of School to drive student enrollment and retention.
- Ensure compliance with all local legal, tax, and regulatory requirements, maintaining high standards in health, safety, and data integrity.
- Manage human resource processes including staff recruitment, performance management, and professional development to support a high-performing team.
- Oversee IT services, facilities management, and security to ensure a safe, secure, and tech-ready campus that supports the educational mission.

**Additional Responsibilities**:

- Actively represent the school in community engagement initiatives, fostering relationships with parents, alumni, and local organizations.
- Provide regular reporting on operational performance, financial health, and compliance to the senior leadership team.
- Drive customer experience efforts, especially feedback from parents and other key stakeholders.
- Champion sustainability initiatives and ensure operational practices support the school's environmental goals.
- Collaborate with external vendors and partners to support operational objectives and maintain quality standards.

**REQUIREMENTS**

**Must-Have Qualifications**:

- Bachelor's degree in finance, business, or a related field; an MBA is preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years experience in operations management, with a proven track record in a service-oriented environment.
- Demonstrated experience managing P&L and leading multi-functional teams.

**Nice-to-Have Qualifications**:

- Prior experience in an educational or international school setting.
- Professional certifications in operations management or relevant fields.
