Associate Investment Manager, Business Operations

We are seeking a highly motivated professional to join our Strategy & Investment team as a Strategy & Investment Associate Manager (or Senior Associate), depending on experience. This role is critical to advancing VNG’s strategic priorities through end-to-end execution of investment projects and strategic initiatives.

You will support the development and delivery of corporate strategy, manage investment pipelines, execute transactions, and help drive post-investment performance. You will also work closely with the Senior Leadership Team to manage strategic transformation initiatives that scale growth and enhance company-wide operational efficiency.

** Key Responsibilities**:

- **
Investment**Management**: Lead or support full-cycle investment processes, including opportunity sourcing, deal execution, and post-investment value creation

**a.**Market** Coverage & Deal Sourcing**
- Identify investment opportunities aligned with VNG’s strategic priorities, with a focus on AI and tech-driven businesses
- Stay up-to-date with Vietnam’s startup and innovation landscape
- Build and maintain relationships with founders, startups, and ecosystem partners

**b.**Deal** Evaluation & Execution**
- Build financial and valuation models for new investment projects & product ideas, and prepare investment materials (including investment memos)
- Drive due diligence and execute investment process in collaboration with relevant departments, acting as the key conduit and faciliator for each investment opportunity

**c.**Post-investment Monitoring & Value Creation**
- Monitor portfolio investment, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives and expected returns
- Conduct in-depth financial analysis and performance tracking for current investments, new venture and identify areas for improvement
- Initiate and provide value-added support to investee companies, strategic partners
- Recommend and execute exit strategy

Strategy**Development & Change Management**:

- Support development of the company’s long-term strategic plans through research and structured analysis
- Lead and manage strategic and transformation projects, from ideation to full implementation
- Assist Senior Leadership to track progress and measure outcomes of high-impact initiatives
- Coordinate change management efforts, including delivery of communication materials for internal and external audiences (e.g. guidelines, policies) and alignment on new processes, new ways of working
- Build frameworks and manage cadences for key business processes, including strategy reviews, budgeting, and recurring leadership meetings/discussions

Business** & Market**Intelligence**:

- Conduct industry and competitive research to identify trends and opportunities relevant to the company’s core businesses
- Deliver clear, data-driven insights and recommendations to leadership
- Produce high-quality presentations and reports tailored to strategic decision-making needs
- Continuously monitor tech and market trends to fuel innovation and operational improvement across the organization

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field. MBA or CFA is a plus
- Minimum 4-5 years of combined experience in consulting, finance, investments, or project management
- Excellent research, presentation, and analytical skills
- Proven experience in financial data analysis and financial modeling
- Strong business acumen, communication, with the ability to present complex information clearly
- Ability to work independently and proactively and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
