Department: Smart Services Institute
- Reports to: Project Management Director
- Smart Services Institute is the department in charge of smart features of company’s EVs, including in-vehicle and off-vehicle connected services such as virtual assistant, vehicle control, navigation, safety and security, smart home control and office features, etc.
- The Product Owner - Smart Services is responsible for gathering customer insights, performing detailed requirements analysis, develop product requirements and manage the end-to-end delivery of tasks through agile project management, documenting processes, and performing some user acceptance testing.
- This role is responsible for designing and building solutions to meet customer needs in collaboration with relevant departments, ensuring the positioning values in line with selected CVP.
- This role takes part in the creation of KPIs and OKRs for the relevant team(s)/ product(s) of the Smart Services Institute
- To succeed in this role, the job holder you should have a natural analytical way of thinking and be able to explain difficult concepts to non-technical users.

A. Product development
- Setting operational objectives by studying business functions; gathering information; evaluating output requirements and formats
- Participate in drawing up the overall product specifications, including constructing workflow charts and diagrams; studying system capabilities; writing specifications
- Gather and analyze customer insights to develop new product feature requirements and enhancement plans.
- Draw up the solution delivery procedures to the customer, administer the solution delivery plan to the customer according to the designed process.
- Develop product requirements and collaborate in the management of end-to-end product delivery including customer portrait identification and pain-point journey; Solution design; Solution Development; Testing; Launching; Experience Evaluation... and Solution Adjustment.
- Create informative, actionable, and repeatable reporting that highlights relevant business trends and opportunities for improvement
- Conduct insightful, ad hoc analyses to investigate ongoing or one-time operational issues
- Suggest changes to senior management using analytics to support your recommendations. Actively participate in the implementation of approved changes

B. Product delivery
- During the Planning & Strategy stages:

- Gives inputs to generate the smart services roadmap by week/month with dashboards to demonstrate improvement iterations - work closely with Planning (Working knowledge of Jira & TFS required)
- Gives inputs to generate Release schedule commitment for all devices (including app, if any) - own the live document
- Use the interface to plan for new commercial contracts and third-party features - generate a roadmap by customer value
- During Hardware and Software development phases:

- Work with the Hardware and in house Manufacturing teams to define deadlines, maturity gateways including 2nd and 3rd source components tracking. Track mechanical test and sign of status
- Work with the UX team, design to manage the scheduling of UX/UI new content reviews
- Give inputs for the concise reports for DV completions status
- During Software Integration
- Ensure the process for delivering cross functional features - coordinate architecture reviews and drive implementation plans
- Collaborate to create metrics for System test completion and status
- Keep track of the progression of Automated test coverage

C. Product quality & stakeholder management
- Quality
- Coordinate the continuous improvement, define, and implement improvement stories to increase the velocity and quality of programs.
- Coordinate and manage task execution, removing task impediments to allows teams to fully focus on product delivery.
- Contributes to maintain comprehensive project documentation
- Expose Quality metrics by market - what matters most to customers
- Ensuring that the data consumption is continuously monitored, measured against targets and validated
- Monitoring legislative changes and lead the conducting of impact analysis
- Perform risk management to minimize project risks
- Vendor/ Third party/ Stakeholder relationship management
- Establish and maintain relationships with third parties/vendors
- Coordinate internal resources (BE/FE/App/UXUI/QA) and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projects
- Work with team leads to resolve people problems and project roadblocks, conduct postmortem and root cause analysis to help squads continuously improve their practices to ensure maximum productivity
- Be able to direct the head of smart services on areas to focus and drive technical reviews into the correct forums
- Ensure the daily clear communication between technical teams to quickly bring resolutions
- Own the communication, coordination and delivery of Connected Car data that is critical to running a connected services business
