**Location**:Ho Chi Minh, VN, VN**Job Summary**
Data Privacy Officer, set up and oversee matters relating to data privacy to meet the company’s obligations under Vietnamese law and regulations on data privacy and the EU GDPR. The DPO will be responsible for staff training, data protection impact assessments, coordination with different business units and functions to guide them, monitor and ensure their compliance, and internal audits. The DPO will monitor compliance and data practices internally to ensure the business and its functions comply with the applicable requirements under local data privacy regulations and EU GDPR. The DPO will also serve as the primary contact for supervisory authorities and individuals whose data is processed by the organization.
- Provide legal advice to the business and its functions as delegated by the Head of Legal.

**General Responsibilities**
- Implementing measures and a privacy governance framework to manage data use in compliance with law, regulation and Group guidelines, including developing templates for data collection, assisting with data mapping, and vendor management reviews.
- Working with key internal stakeholders in the review of projects and related data to ensure compliance with local data privacy laws and Group policies, and where necessary, complete and advise on privacy impact assessment.
- Serving as the primary contact for supervisory authorities and individuals whose data is processed by the organization.
- Serving as the primary contact for queries in the business relating to data privacy; Participating in the data privacy committee
- Working closely with management as well as Corporate data privacy officer to role out related policies.
- Managing and conducting ongoing reviews of company’s privacy governance framework. Monitoring changes to local privacy laws and making recommendation to the CMT or data privacy committee when appropriate.
- Setting standards and reviewing policies and procedures that meet the requirements of laws and regulations and Group guidelines on data privacy.
- Developing and delivering data privacy trainings to businesses and functions.
- Developing strategies and initiatives to ensure engagement with key internal and external stakeholders.
- Coordinating and conducting data privacy audits.
- Collaborating with information security and/or IT functions to raise employee awareness of data privacy and security issues, and to maintain records of data assets and exports, data security incident management plan to ensure timely remediation of incidents.
- Advising internal clients on daily operation legal matters. Gain better understanding of the business and its various processes to enhance the quality of legal advice given.
- Driving self-learning and improvement in the area of Data Privacy/Corporate/Contract/Commercial law and DKSH behavior as part of continuous learning.

**Functional Skills and Knowledge**
- Demonstrate advanced knowledge of corporate law, contract and commercial law, including country-specific laws.
- Demonstrate appreciation and respect for cultural sensitivities especially in cross-country/culture interactions.
- Demonstrate ability to handle highly sensitive and confidential information with integrity.
- Demonstrate proficiencies in office productivity tools (e.g., Excel, Word and PowerPoint)
- Demonstrate knowledge of adaptation of the law within the cultural/legal framework of countries

**Education**
- Degree in Law from a reputable university
- Admission to Bar

**Work Experience**
- Minimum two years’ experience in a similar role
- Minimum one year experience in a managerial capacity
- Experience practicing law in a law firm with business law orientation or in the in-house legal department of an organization is preferred
