**Job Summary**

The role is responsible for building and leading the Vaccines team in Vietnam and ensuring best-in-class marketing & access tactics. They will set ambitious targets and objectives for the Business Unit (BU), leading the team to deliver superior results throughout the Lifecycle Management, aligned with the values and purpose of Takeda.

1. **Key & Responsibilities & Accountabilities**

**Overall**
- Responsible for setting the vision, defining Vietnam’s Vaccine BU strategy, and ensuring execution of brand and key account plans to achieve market-centric goals and long-term aspiration of inclusion in the National Immunization Program.
- Leads the BU team members and influences the cross-functional teams to deliver a superior patient/stakeholder experience.
- Develops pre-launch awareness Business strategies as well as targeted patient programs to ensure successful performance and goal achievement.
- P&L responsibility for the BU.
- Ensures the development and implementation of effective market access programs across distribution channels and utilizes multiple forms of engagement to ensure the broadest access to the vaccine, this includes sustainable access programs for vulnerable parts of the population.
- Builds a strong best-in-class Vaccine team. Hires develops and retains Vaccine Team
- Fully financially responsible for local Vaccine business, including any future marketed product in the therapy area.
- Responsible for ensuring the development, implementation, and monitoring of Business prioritization and planning aligned to the vaccine business model.
- Identifies, develops, and maintains a professional relationship with key stakeholders, and scientific societies, identifies new opportunities and ways to better meet customer needs, serves as a role model in terms of customer orientation
- Identifies possible public health networks and plans and executes partnerships together with Cross-function.
- Responsible for ensuring public and private budget strategies, including National Immunization Program inclusion.

**Critical functional knowledge**
- Proven ability to plan and manage vaccine franchise resources (Business Development, finance, personnel) at BU, enabling the country’s growth strategy.
- A key facilitator of strategic and operational decisions and owner to resolve any cross-functional challenges.
- Proven ability to develop and communicate a strategic view based on the integrated knowledge of franchise programs.

**Critical business expertise**
- In-depth understanding of the Vaccine business model in Vietnam.
- Thorough understanding of the local and vaccine-specific policies and how these impact decision-making.
- Proven track record of understanding the vaccine market and customers’ needs in private and public segments
- Validated experience and knowledge of external customers including patients, and decision-makers.
- Knowledge/experience in vaccines policy
- Strong financial knowledge to deeply understand the financial implications of portfolio management.
- In-depth understanding of the R&D process and the importance of integrating commercial and development strategic plans.

**Communication Skills**:

- Ability to successfully collaborate with cluster groups with understanding, and sensitivity to, business cultures.
- Ability to communicate ideas (both verbally and written) in a persuasive and appropriate manner and to build collaborative work relationships, ideally in a cross-functional setting.
- Able to engage in detailed conversations with key stakeholders about local management of disease through a strong understanding of vaccines and how Takeda can help improve disease prevention.
- Excellent downward communication skills to attract, lead and motivate talents and align them with global strategy and vision.
- Excellent upwards communication skills to drive program excellence and engage functional partners

**Innovation**
- Raise awareness about disease and options to prevent it through multiple channels utilizing relevant, resonating, and creative content
- Pragmatic use of digital assets to build capability and provide deep market and customer insights that are valuable to Vx management
- Able to utilize all possible distribution channels and develop new platforms to increase the availability of vaccines nationwide

2. **Education, Experience, And Skills**

**Required** **Education**
- Bachelor’s degree or above, preferably in Medical, Pharmacy, or Life Sciences. A master's degree is a plus.
- Business knowledge of the vaccines industry or in a therapy area catering to the dispensing market

**Required Experience**
- Proven 8 years experience in functions such as Marketing, New Product Planning, Sales, Channel development, and/or other Commercial Operations or Life Sciences consulting
- More than 5 years of standard-setting performance in this role or a comparable role.
- A minimum 3 years of vaccine commercial (marketing and sales) experience in the country
