- Position Summary

As a Technical Delivery lead, you will be responsible for overseeing the delivery of end user technical work to the business units and ensure that the services provided meet the needs of the stakeholders, as well as the quality and performance expectations of the organization. These works include the new built or enhancement of end user technologies and Audio-Visual hardware / software installations across the university’s teaching spaces & venues.
- Reporting Line

Reports to: IT Customer Services Manager
- Key Accountabilities- Work closely with solution consultant, business technology partner and engineering teams to understand client requirements and translate them into technical specifications.- Manage full life cycle of end users’ technical delivery work.- Oversee the delivery of end users technical work to stakeholders and coordinate the efforts of different teams to ensure that services are delivered in a timely and efficient manner.- Create long-term and healthy customer relationship, acting as the bridge between the business units and our operational end user technical delivery teams.- Manage stakeholder expectations by playing as escalation point for any issues during the end users technical delivery work (customers, management, various teams, third parties)- Maintain customers’ satisfaction through solution-oriented mindset and improvement plans.- Track the technical delivery work and communicate status updates to stakeholders.- Identify and mitigate risks and dependencies of the end users technical delivery work.- Implement and oversee quality assurance measures throughout the technical delivery work.- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and delivery.- Foster a collaborative and high-performing team environment.- Plan budgets and resources for end users technical delivery teams, ensuring that resources are allocated effectively, and that costs are kept within budget.- Stay current on the latest technologies and trends within their area of expertise.
- Key Selection Criteria- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).- Minimum 7+ years of experience in a technical delivery leadership role.- Proven track record of successfully delivering complex technology projects on time and within budget.- Strong understanding of project management methodologies.- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.- Working knowledge with PowerBI or other similar reporting tools.- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities, with a customer-centric approach.- In-depth knowledge of ITIL framework and IT service management principles.- Experience with IT service management tools (Jira, ServiceNow)- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to non-technical users.- Excellent communication, diplomacy, facilitation, influencing and negotiation skills and demonstrated ability to adapt these to a diverse range of stakeholders and contexts at senior leadership levels- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.- Demonstrated knowledge and commitment to continuous improvement principles.- Ability to display appropriate behaviours in line with the position and RMIT Values.- IT certifications such as ITIL, PMP are desirable.
- English Proficiency
