**Summary**:
To highlight and sell the clinical benefits of PD therapy to improve patient outcomes. This is to include regular contact with key stakeholders and to be in line with Baxter’s Renal PD strategy of profitable growth

**Duties and Responsibilities**:
1. Business Process - This position is commercially based and requires that the incumbent demonstrates an acceptable level of business acumen, including:

- Ensure all activities are reported accurately and in a timely manner into our program.
- The active _discovery_ and reporting of current and relevant business information, e.g. competitor intelligence, potential business opportunities
- The reporting of adverse events and product complaints in accordance with the Baxter guidelines.
- The timely communication of required and/or relevant information both internally and externally - including information necessary to maintain an accurate and effective customer management database.
- To support and act for other team members within the Renal PD Division, as required by the Supervisors/Managers
- Find opportunity to develop business

2. Relationships - The development and maintenance of strategic business relationships is critical to the renal division’s ability to meet its corporate obligations. The position requires that the incumbent:

- Develop and maintain relationships with all levels of external (e.g. Nephrologists, Providers and Nurses) and internal customers to create beneficial outcomes for Baxter Healthcare whilst maintaining individual and corporate integrity.
- Maintain effective team performance through developing working relationships with peers and colleagues
- To develop and maintain relationships with team members from other business units within Baxter.

3. Education/Training - The high standard of education and training provided by Baxter in the area of renal therapies provides the company with valuable leverage in the market. The position requires that the incumbent:

- Support the education/training requirements of each HCP
- Provide demonstrations and technical product training of Baxter’s products and services**_._**
- Plan, prepare, promote, attend and deliver workshops, seminars and conferences, using only pre-approved marketing and sales materials
- Communicate benefits of using Baxter Products as a dialysis solution to Nephrologists and nurses involved in renal replacement therapy.
- Ensure that all training is documented as per Baxter policy and procedure.

4. Project Support - Projects are initiated regularly with a view to maximising market growth, market penetration and minimising patient drop out. The incumbent will be required to:

- Plan, promote, install, educate and monitor clinical programs according to the business plan;
- Assist in research projects as directed by the renal business unit.
- Assist and liaise with the Marketing department on projects as required and agreed to by the sales manager.
- Assist in the development of new education programs to support business strategies in accordance with the renal business objectives.

**Education & Qualifications**:

- Nurse or Pharmacist/Doctor University Degree.
- Experience in a healthcare environment at least 3 years (ideally in a renal environment)
- Well-developed presentation skills
- Effective communication skills
- Demonstrate ownership for achieving results.
- Demonstrates appropriate sense of urgency and decisiveness.
- Willing to participate & contribute to efforts beyond own scope of responsibilities
- Demonstrates support for other people and teams; willing to share resources
- Creates strong morale and spirit in his/her team by establishing common, motivating goals
- Proactively seeks feedback and information to solve problems
- Able to write/ speak English.
