StoryCo is seeking a highly creative **Story Director** to join our globally distributed team. In this role, you will lead efforts across audio, video, and art departments to transform existing web comics into video/motion comics using the StoryCo platform. You will be responsible for setting the creative direction for adapting these static comics. You will collaborate with art and video editors to upload and time comic panels in our storytelling platform. You will also set the creative direction and collaborate with audio supervisors to add music, sound effects, and voice performances to these stories. Your role will be multi-faceted and require a deep understanding of what makes an engaging story, as well as the ability to maintain the integrity of the original work through its adaptation process into a new multimedia format. This role is ideal for a creative storytellers with strong project management skills, who can collaborate closely with different creative departments to deliver work on schedule

**Key Responsibilities**
- Set the overall creative vision for the adaptation of web comics into videos on the StoryCo platform while managing the creative workflow of executing this vision across various creative departments
- Review and edit scripts to ensure proper formatting for the StoryCo platform, while adding cues for the addition of new multimedia elements like music, sound effects and motion-graphic elements
- Communicate holistic creative vision to art, audio and video editing stakeholders, manage their creative workflow and ensure implementation of their creative work into the story
- Carry out process of uploading of web comic panels into story builder
- Work closely with product and engineering teams to deeply understand the technical capabilities of the platform.
- Help develop processes and workflows that improve the efficiency and quality of multimedia adaptations at StoryCo
- Act as a quality gatekeeper, ensuring consistency in tone, pacing, and style across all adapted content

**Requirements**:

- Creatively Minded_**:

- Possesses a strong storytelling instinct, with a natural knack for proper narrative structure, pacing, and flow
- Demonstrates a keen sense of how sound, music, and visual effects can amplify the narrative and thematic elements of a story
- Ideally possesses a particular passion for web comics or Webtoons, either as a creator or a fan
- Adept with Creative Technologies:_
- Proficient in industry-standard creative software such as **Photoshop, After Effects, and Clip Studio** for photo and video editing
- Able to quickly learn and adapt to new tools or platforms that aid in multimedia storytelling
- Collaborative Mindset:_
- Experience working with cross-functional teams (engineering, product, and creative)
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a collaborative, dynamic environment
- Fast Execution:_
- Self-motivated and able to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to meet deadlines and maintain high-quality standards
- High Agency:_
- A proactive, problem-solving attitude with the ability to work independently and take ownership of projects
- Comfortable with receiving and integrating feedback
- Language Requirements:_ English Fluent
